I'd been hoping to eat at this restaurant for a long time, and finally had the pleasure of doing so tonight. Well, what can I say? It was an unforgettable experience. Aside from the quality of the food, which I'd call supreme, we were particularly impressed and moved by the passion Micaela and her husband put into this business and the joy they feel in sharing their passion with their customers. Sure, booking is a bit difficult, but with a little patience, that can be done. Besides, I think increasing the number of seats available would inevitably compromise the quality of this experience. We hope to be able to eat at Mikachan again as soon as possible, but I can say that for now, we're already thrilled with this evening.

I loved the intimate atmosphere and the attention to detail.
The customer is truly taken care of throughout what is a truly unique experience. Highly recommended, a little slice of authentic Japan near Rome. We hope to return!

Amazing! We went to Japan on our honeymoon, and from there we're desperately searching for a place where we can re-savour the tastes, flavours, and emotions that that food evokes.
The quality of the products is exceptional, the owners are extremely kind, helpful, and very thorough in explaining the dishes. On a few occasions, I was reminded of Japan through the food and the very Japanese-style restaurant, but I sensed that something was missing from the dishes. I don't know what, probably the way it's cooked or the fish is caught differently due to a different sea and different fishing regulations. But that doesn't take away from the fact that everything was exceptional.

Izakaya Mikachan is definitely a dive into authentic Japanese cuisine.
Expectations were high, but they were fully met! Micaela's kindness and the quality of the food are unmatched.
The price is a little high, but absolutely justified by the quality of the ingredients.
A treat worth repeating.

This is now my fourth time dining here, and it's always a new and magical experience. The food is incredible, it transports you straight to Japan. The place is wonderful, and the service is excellent. I can't wait to go back!

A true corner of Japan in Rome! 🇯🇵
For those who unfortunately have not yet managed to taste traditional Japanese cuisine on site, Mikachan is the opportunity to be transported by smells and flavors that are so fascinating. We opted for 2 menus, okonomiyaki and sushi and both immediately convinced us with their flavors and balance, the sushi was not only very fresh but also astonished us with the quality and preparation of the rice! An extraordinary mention to the 2 very kind owners; like many others, we also waited a long time to book, but it was really worth it, for how we were looked after, for the attention in explaining the dishes and for the friendliness in general. Last but not least, the impeccable cleanliness of the place!
Thanks again from Francesco and Sara, especially for making us re-evaluate a drink that we had never considered like Sake! We hope to be able to return soon 🙇🏻♂️

The atmosphere of this place is very pleasant. For lovers of Japan, it feels like home. The dishes were all very good. The thing we appreciated the most was the sushi in the wagyu menu. The hosts are very kind and it was nice to talk with the owner. In the restaurant there are also many small souvenirs to buy. I hope to be able to return.
