Mida Lounge Bar In Palermo

Great option for lunch on the beach. Typical beach bar/restaurant and for that reason it meets 100% of expectations. I don't understand the low ratings and complaints.

Terrace on the Mondello seafront, very nice location but not well maintained, even if the menu had enough choice, only pinza, club sandwich and appetizer tray were available, for dinner, something not specified on the menu, high prices. 2 pinza with 4 slices of mortadella, 2 club sandwiches, 1 diluted spritz, 1 water, 1 beer, 85 euros

Three stars, because the person serving the tables was very rude.

Deckchair rental for the day at €33 for two. Nice and affordable cocktails (€7). The food is simple but not cheap. On the other hand, the beach and swimming are incredible!!! The sand is fine and the water is transparent, you can stand for 50 meters and the water is warm.

The Italians have the, to me, the strange system of privatising major parts of their best beaches. These are monopolised by the companies renting out loungers and umbrellas and often have a bar or restaurant at the top of the section of the beach. So it is for the Mida Lounge Bar Valdesi in Palermo's favourite beach in Mondello. The prices and the quality offered often reflect the fact that the facilities have a captive audience and that their customers are paying for the location (and it's rent!). That said, the Mida Lounge Bar Valdesi was a pleasant location, essential for a beer on a hot bank holiday afternoon and with acceptable prices.

We were at the beach connected to it. All was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful.
