Mendelhof In Bolzano

We arrived before the kitchen opened and with a kindness we didn't expect they asked us if we still wanted to sit in the room. We ordered two beers and while we waited they brought us some excellent homemade pretzels, after which we ate very very well, in abundance, with courteous and impeccable service. Finally we also spent the right amount, in short, a place we will definitely return to.

I had dinner with a friend from La Spezia who lives in Bolzano in this typical South Tyrolean restaurant. There is a very pleasant South Tyrolean atmosphere: we were practically the only non-German speaking guests. We had a delicious trio of dumplings accompanied by a superb Lagrein. At the end of the meal we were spoiled with a delicious Kaiserschmarrn. Honest price and welcoming restaurateur who proudly told us that his family has run this beautiful restaurant for three generations. Toll, first, ausgezeichnet! Fabrizio Dellepiane
