Updating review: After writing my first review of the restaurant, reading their response, and returning for another visit, I decided to post an updated opinion. As mentioned before, a pre-fixed menu had been arranged for our group, although most of us did not know in advance what we were going to eat. First course: Pasta alla Norma. The dish had a good flavor, but in my opinion the absence of ricotta salata—which is a key ingredient in the traditional recipe—was surprising and affected the overall experience. Second course: Grilled meat with vegetables. It was fine, but not particularly memorable, and it isn’t a dish I would return specifically to eat. Dessert: Tiramisu. Since I don’t like tiramisu, I asked if it was possible to have the alternative dessert that had been served to some of my colleagues. I asked precisely because, in their response to my previous review, the restaurant had said that any problem should be communicated so they could look for a solution. For that reason, I was surprised when I was told that another option wasn’t possible, yet afterward the alternative dessert was placed in the middle of the table for everyone to try. In the end, I only ate a very small piece and basically didn’t have dessert. Regarding the atmosphere: We were a large group and the space is quite small, so there wasn’t enough room to be comfortable. Every time someone needed to get up, several people had to stand or move their chairs. Additionally, the service between courses was rather slow. About the flavor of the dishes: While nothing was technically wrong with the food, several dishes lacked the depth or seasoning I personally expected. Flavor is subjective, but this is my honest impression after two visits. This updated review reflects my overall experience after giving the restaurant a second chance. The restaurant is very nice. The service is attentive and friendly. The dishes are very well prepared and delicious. It was a pleasure spending an evening with friends.

The light, refined rooms create an intimate yet modern atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The decor is meticulously crafted, with bottles on display and marine references that immediately evoke the restaurant's philosophy: authentic yet refined seafood cuisine. The service is attentive and friendly, with staff available to explain the dishes and suggest wine pairings. The open kitchen adds a touch of transparency and conviviality: you can sense the care with which each course is prepared. The dishes are beautifully presented and rich in flavor. The mussels and clam appetizer is fragrant and plentiful, a perfect start. The clam gnocchi with creamed zucchini, shrimp, and porcini mushrooms are delicate, creamy, and beautifully balanced. The paccheri with lobster, served on a black plate, are spectacular and delicious: al dente pasta, intense sauce, and perfectly cooked lobster. The desserts are also excellent, such as the brownie with chocolate ice cream and the ricotta cannoli, both delicious and beautifully plated. The quality-price ratio is adequate, and the overall impression is one of a refined, tasty, and relaxing experience. A highly recommended restaurant for those who love fresh fish, good food, and an elegant yet familiar atmosphere in the heart of Foligno.

Good restaurant, good and tasty fish, cozy and intimate atmosphere, a bit cold. The crostini and mixed grill were delicious. The starters were good, but something was missing. The service was a bit slow.

What can I say... The food is delicious, generous portions, and everything is made with love. It feels like home, but with much better dishes! ☺️

It's one of the best places I've ever eaten. Fresh, local ingredients of the highest quality, prepared simply yet excellently, bringing out the authentic flavors. Finally discovered a fish restaurant in Umbria. And what a place it is! Red prawn tartare: divine! Linguine with tuna ragout and grilled capers: a dream. The fish soup: divine. Accompanied by a bottle of fruity Grechetto for just €18. Excellent food, very friendly service, and very good value for money. Highly recommended!

Medi restaurant is specialised in fish and seafood and located very close to Foligno's main square. The restaurant offers a good selection of dishes and everything we tried was very well cooked. The only minus was the fact that the side dishes were served long after the main courses, arriving when they were almost cold. Service is kind and friendly while the setting of the restaurant, while not bad, is rather unassuming.
