Everything was just perfect! From the aperitif to the espresso. Impeccable service, a cool, very pleasant atmosphere with great background music, and finally, an extraordinary meal (meat and mashed potatoes on the side).

La Ménagère is undoubtedly one of the most charming places in Florence and I gladly return there every time I am in the city. However, I think that the price of the spritz, a drink of which I have been a passionate connoisseur since well before its current global popularity, is excessive: 13 euros seems to me to be an exaggerated amount and potentially harmful to Italian gastronomic culture, despite its excellent execution. I hope that this observation of mine, expressed in a constructive spirit, can be useful. I will see you again on my next visit to Florence.

If you are tired from a whole day of sightseeing like I was, the Menagere is the perfect place. You will find yourself in a quiet but chic environment where you can relax and have a drink or a bite to eat, watching the florist who works right inside or admiring the beautiful furniture or simply relaxing on the comfortable seats. The friendly and helpful staff will serve you quite promptly. The food is equally good. The price is a bit high but it is correct for the place you are in and the atmosphere you breathe. Not at all dissatisfied, recommended for a few moments of relaxation.

Incredibile luogo di perversione culinaria a pochi passi dalle cappelle medicee e da Santa Maria Novella. Una vera orgia di sapori, odori e colori che solo chi non ha paura delle esagerazioni può gestire a pieno. Ci sono diverse possibilità di pappare un po' per tutti e perlopiù la qualità media del proposto è abbastanza alta. Noi ci siamo fiondati su una famosa salumeria e siamo stati accolti e trattati come cari e vecchi amici, malgrado per loro noi si fosse stati perfetti sconosciuti. Abbiamo mangiato bene, bevuto bene, pagato il giusto. Ed ovviamente abbiamo acquistato vari prodotti che ci sono stati anche forniti sottovuoto per meglio fargli affrontare il viaggio di ritorno a casa. Il dispiacere uscendo, e dopo aver visitato il resto degli stand, è stato quello di non poter ingurgitare altro (saremmo scoppiati!), ma certo è fortunato chi, abitando in loco, può andare quando vuole per godere di tante prelibate e speciali leccornie. Nota negativa: in un mercato del genere le toilettes sono a pagamento. Ma quando mai nei centri commerciali e nei grossi supermercati questo succede. Cosa veramente disdicevole visti i soldi che ivi si spendono: al massimo si potrebbe gestire la cosa come al mercato di Ravenna: se hai uno scontrino qualunque emesso da un negozio residente nel mercato stesso puoi accedere gratuitamente...
