Dropped into Maude today unannounced for a tasting. When asked by Lewis if we had a booking, I said I didn’t realise we needed one. He was a most gracious, generous and convivial host. He squeezed us in and made our visit an experience we’ll never forget. His wine recommendations were exquisite and on point. Highly recommend this cellar door. Thanks Lewis. Much appreciated.

Just been to Maude Wine Tasting Rooms and I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Myself and my partner were looked after by Lewis. From the outset he was friendly, warm, welcoming and down to earth! His knowledge of the wines, the processes and flavours was delivered in a way that a normal person can actually understand- I left feeling more knowledgeable about the wines. Other places I’ve been too, I’ve felt rushed or made feel a bit silly because I’m not ‘wine buff’ enough! The views, location and overall experience was 10/10. You won’t regret coming here, sampling all the gorgeous wines and receiving a top class service.

Beautiful tasting room/ cellar door We were so well looked after by Lewis thank you. The bubbles excellent and a great way to begin the tasting Their wines are impressive Loved their pinot blend a big highlight Enjoyed their trio of dips too as a light snack. Comfortable seating and warm and cosy. Easy parking. Easy to find as well. A must visit destination when in wanaka.

07/11/2025: We had an appetizer of hot arrosticini and chips, and two gnocchi with sauce for the kids. Service was prompt, the meat arrosticini were good, but the liver ones could be better. The mutton alla callara was a really good appetizer. The Montepulciano wine by the carafe was good.
02/11/2025: Everything is fine if it doesn't change for me it is the best of the arrosticini in particular.

24/10/2025: A very warm welcome with a clear desire to share their cuisine. Squash flan and mini cabbage stew to start, then an assortment of meats and desserts, all very tasty, including a revisited Tiramisu to discover.
19/10/2025: Specializing in meat cooking, from arrosticini to premium cuts. I really liked the research that goes into every dish and ingredient, all selected according to a very specific criterion: customer satisfaction. Fillet arrosticini, usually hard to find in a restaurant, are available here. The Godot appetizer was thrilling, two courses that vary according to the seasonality of the products, but which are a sublime explosion of flavors. One of these was the pumpkin tart on a cheese fondue and balsamic reduction, with a crunchy note provided by the puffed Venere rice, a flavor explosion. The wine cellar was also interesting, well-stocked for interesting pairings with the dishes. The meat was also exceptional and cooked to perfection. A very positive experience.
