Mattarello - L’Osteria dell’Isola In Careggine

Ok, but not a great experience. They only have pizza on the weekend, I think they are best for pizza :-)

The food was average, with no special highlights. We didn't particularly appreciate the fact that all dishes were served at once, from the starter to the side dish, which meant the food got cold. The quality/price ratio was uneven in favor of the prices. Be careful with your receipt.

Convenient since it's close to the Isola Santa village (worth a visit). Friendly service, outdoor seating on the patio and inside. Both the mixed antipasti and the grill are good, but reservations are recommended.

As often happens, I stop to eat at the Osteria dell'Isola. Excellent food, their own high-quality products, and very fair prices for what you get. Congratulations to all of you!!! I highly recommend stopping by their farm shop where you can buy excellent products and, if necessary, a pit stop at the Venturo farmhouse.

The price of the dishes is a little expensive

We stopped here by chance while touring the Apuan Alps by motorcycle, and it was a great choice. Very helpful staff, good food with local products and a fair price. The house soup and Garfagnana bread are excellent. Parking available. Recommended.

We stopped at this restaurant after a lovely hike on the mountain trails. The food was fantastic, the charcuterie and cheese platter was very good. After the appetizer, we had the meat, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The beautiful view of the lake made the dish even more delicious.

The owner was very unpleasant, but the staff were friendly. Before we were even allowed to sit down, we had to drive the car 10 cm forward and tell them how long we wanted to park. Then we ordered. The drink came quickly, the food took a while, and others were served before us. The lasagna pasta was overcooked and a fairly small piece for €10. Rather poor by Italian standards. Furthermore, the crust was slightly burnt, and the separate Parmesan cheese was moldy. The salad was okay. The bottle of oil was dirty inside, and the salt was lumpy and wet. We probably should have ordered meat instead; it was freshly prepared and looked good. The tiramisu was okay. Some of the pictures in the description are of the town. The restaurant is located on the street, not in the town center. There is a second restaurant there that looks good, but isn't visible from the street.
