We had been a few years ago and returned a few evenings ago. The place has changed, they have changed the layout of the kitchen and there is a bathroom, fortunately. It is one of the few places in Turin where you can eat something almost authentic Japanese. I say almost because unfortunately, in Turin, even the restaurants owned by the Japanese are unable to go all the way and offer true Japanese cuisine, but they always tend to modify simple dishes to get closer to the Italian taste (or rather, the taste of the Italians misled by fake Japanese restaurants). I hope that one day they have the courage to propose Japan, without compromise. However, it is a place where you can find dishes that are rarely found elsewhere, so it is worth stopping by. I was hoping to find the classic tonkatsu with cabbage, but instead it was only available with scrambled eggs (???). Alright.

So excited to taste something other than sushi! Welcoming, this little restaurant! There you can find interesting and tasty typical Japanese dishes. I regret not having stayed nearby, I would have gone there more often! The prices are more than affordable for dishes prepared directly on the spot.

Great authentic Japanese food, served as it would on a festival in Japan. The design and atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired, but if the flavor is what matters, Matsurika di Tokyo is one of the very few authentic Japanese restaurants in Turin.

I've just been with my parents, who I wanted to show them something typical Japanese, other than the usual sushi. We ordered Gyoza, Karaage and Takoyaki, all excellent and served quickly and courteously.

A small restaurant that takes you to Japan. Restaurant with an almost open kitchen, which is mainly aimed at take away, while still offering some covers (be careful, there is no bathroom!) Pleasant tastes and traditional dishes cooked with care and skill. On the daily specials board you can find some extra dishes.
