The Pub Matana in Palagano is a truly special place, the most inclusive place I know. Let's start with the delicious gastronomic offer that whets the appetite: here you won't just find hamburgers and chips but a wide choice that goes from typical traditional dishes, such as the famous tortelloni dell'Appennino or gnocco and tigelle, to more international proposals (dedicated to particular evenings). Beer is undoubtedly the protagonist: you will find a rich selection of beers from the Birrificio Appennino (100% km zero) but also a wide choice for wine lovers, with proposals designed to satisfy every palate. But what do they do at the Matana? The Pub stands out for an eccentric, dynamic and tempting proposal, from trekking to concerts, from cultural events to gala evenings. Every day they create new occasions that unite the community, keeping the mountain tradition alive and, at the same time, also intrigue "piangiani" like me. Dany and Giovy are the heart and soul of this corner of the Apennines, with their charisma they always make you feel at home. And their collaborators are also fantastic, always smiling and professional. Thank you, Matana, because you manage to transform every evening into a memory to keep in your heart. Every time I cross that threshold I know I am entering a place where I —and whoever is with me— are always welcome.
