Masseria Muzza In Otranto

A truly wonderful experience. The masseria is stunning, surrounded by greenery. The Apulian spirit is truly palpable. The staff takes care of the guests every step of the way. The reception staff took care of us every step of the way. I sincerely thank Ivana, Silvia, Luisa, and Valentina, who are serious, friendly, and competent professionals. Eros, the bartender at the pool bar, pampered us wonderfully. We can't wait to visit you again! Thank you for everything.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful surroundings. The duplex rooms are not recommended; they smell a bit like a basement. Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't equipped for cooler temperatures and wind, so breakfast was rather uncomfortable, too cold and windy. It's certainly better in the summer. Also, the value for money isn't great; the pasta is mediocre for €26.

Amazing staff, I immediately felt in tune, they were super helpful and helped me when I needed it. It was easy to get there, and being in the countryside I enjoyed nature by going out for a walk nearby. Sunset from the structure is crazy and the massage service at the spa was worth it every time, highly recommended.

If you’re looking to relax and unwind while enjoying a cocktail and local bites watching a beautiful sunset… this restored farmhouse is perfect! The staff provided incredible restaurant suggestions in the nearby towns, nestled next to a historic castle on the coast. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed at the magnificent Masseria Muzza for 3 majestic nights in early June. The service is really what your paying for and they deliver above and beyond. The Spa is intimate with it's heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and other areas while the outdoor infinity pool overlooking the lake is the piece-de-resistance with plenty of sun loungers available and a nice shaded area towards the back near the bar if it's too hot. There's also a couple of small restaurants that serve brilliant food (breakfast is superb and the pizza we had in the evening was delightful) and a separate pool bar area that all added to the intimate, sophisticated and exclusive quality of this hotel. It's also worth noting that as a manual wheelchair user my wife found the property excellent in terms of accessing all areas - though the shower seat provided was not fully safe (it was literally a chair as opposed to the industry standard mobile adjustable height shower chair which have suctions on their legs which are vastly safer). Nothing bad happened - but it's something that if the hotel wants to provide a safe shower experience for customers with mobility issues then this one comes under no brainer (and they're not expensive). Overall if you're reading this review and weighing up whether to stay at this hotel in Puglia or for the same price (or maybe cheaper) hire a villa (we did both) I would say if you prioritise SERVICE then it's a no brainer and choose this hotel.
