Mariuccia In Genova

A real surprise. A 2.0 Mariuccia where two young guys have given a new look to this historic restaurant here in Voltri. Fresh, carefully prepared cuisine, and need I say? Super super tasty: spectacular duck, absolutely delicious tuna tataki, and the monkfish? Incredible. Generous portions 🤤 A menu to be discovered, truly interesting, while still maintaining the great dishes that a seaside town like this demands. They also serve appetizers (which we didn't know about, being our first time there), which I won't spoil: they're truly a treat, a surprise and a welcome start to dinner. Pizza: good, very good. Prices: excellent value for money, high-quality ingredients, so fresh that you can't help but notice it on the palate. Oh, and also take a look at the dessert and wine list, then I'll stop and say anything else!

Neat and welcoming location, attentive and knowledgeable service. Excellent pizzas with selected ingredients. Fresh and beautifully presented tuna tartare, well-made mixed fried seafood, crispy and not very greasy, with a surprise basil panna cotta, well-balanced in flavors. I recommend everyone to spend an evening with Mariuccia under new management! Congratulations to all the staff, see you soon!

🍕 Mariuccia is Incredible! They’ve just reopened after a beautiful renovation — and the place looks absolutely stunning. It’s fresh, spacious, and wonderfully bright, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. The Four Cheese Pizza is hands down the best I’ve had in all of Liguria. Every ingredient tastes fresh and full of flavor — you can really tell they use high-quality products. 🍷 They also offer a fantastic selection of local and national wines. Don’t hesitate to ask the owner, Giuseppe, for a recommendation — he knows exactly what to suggest to pair perfectly with your meal. 🍸 PRO TIP: Before or after dinner, stop by the bar right next door for a cocktail. They are absolutely delicious! If you’re visiting the area, this is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss. See you soon!

A Voltri institution, you'll be hard-pressed NOT to find it packed...good pizza and farinata at fair prices, given the generous portions. UPDATE 2022: Since COVID, things have changed, and the last time I went, I was served a farinata with sausage that was so greasy I had trouble digesting it (I should have left it there, but that goes against my principles). I haven't been back since.

Excellent pizzas for dough and toppings

I'd read several negative reviews about the heat due to the lack of air conditioning (this summer) and the lack of customer service. For these reasons, when we decided to dine there for a reunion with former co-workers, I was rather hesitant. However, I must say that, aside from the excellent pizza and farinata, the young woman serving tables was courteous and attentive to our requests.
