Mare Matto In

A delightful location overlooking the Livorno canal, in the heart of the port, among boats, seagulls, the scent of the sea, and the noise of life. A delicious fried dish, which made us regret not having taken the larger version, which we won't fail to do next time! A hidden corner a stone's throw from the centre, with easy parking nearby, and very romantic... Super recommended.

Rustic but relaxing environment on the porch, there are about ten tables where you can eat with a view of the port. The service is not at the table, but is on call and you have to go and get the tray at the counter. Food as discreet as the quantities proposed. Unfortunately the fried food is heavy and not easy to digest, it took me a long time to digest it, too bad otherwise it would have been an extra star. Quick and kind service. Price from 6 to 16 € per dish, the large fried seafood costs 15 €. The possibility of sitting down has an additional cost of €1 per person.

Last week we went to Livorno and found this characteristic kiosk. We had a hearty feast of excellent fried fish, the girls who served us were very kind and the fact of eating practically on the sea was very pleasant. Top!

We loved the fry! Really well done. The place is really nice, maybe only non-plastic glasses would be preferable especially if you take wine.

Spectacular mixed fried food and aubergine meatballs, all accompanied by a good glass of white wine, very light frying. Well done, very kind and helpful staff. 🤗
