Good pizza and very friendly and attentive staff. Nice, well-kept atmosphere. The location is lovely, right in front of the Ricetto. The two sittings are sometimes worth considering; if you want to sit for a long time, perhaps the second sitting starting at 9 pm is better.

A very well-kept venue, top-notch food made with top-quality ingredients, impeccable service, and great prices. The Marchesa tiramisu with Nutella is highly recommended.

The Marchesa restaurant and pizzeria is located in the center of the village of Candelo (BI), just across from the Ricetto di Candelo, an ancient medieval hamlet. The restaurant has an industrial style with some rustic touches, yet remains warm and welcoming. The glasses on the table were panna cotta molds, a fun and probably practical ploy. The pizza is a classic northern Neapolitan style, thinly crusted with a high, soft crust and crunchy bits here and there. You'll notice that slice after slice, the pizza is starting to get a bit rubbery, and (personally) the sauce lacks character. For dessert, we opted for the chocolate cheesecake. This cake has a lot of cheese and not much cake. The biscuit base is very thin, and the various flavors offered (I assume) are simply the type of toppings that are generously layered on top to make it more palatable. The service staff are quick and respectful of the timing. It's a shame to give only 3 stars but I'm sure that the young people I've seen can improve and make Marchesa an excellent pizzeria.

Despite all the complaints, this is a beautiful and unique place, parking is in front of the pizzeria, the pizzas were delivered right away, the fish was delicious 😋 and the two waiters were kind and professional ✔️

First of all, it's very difficult to find parking on weekends, which isn't their fault in itself. It becomes a problem for the customer if, like in my case, they leave a disabled person in front so they can't walk, park far away, and after reaching him, they don't have my reservation! I had specifically requested a table inside when booking three weeks in advance, but since our spot wasn't available, they offered us a "makeshift" table outside, which we accepted. I would give it four and a half stars if possible because the food is excellent, as always, and the pizza, in my opinion, is the best in the area. I'm not giving it five stars only for this experience because some of us weren't wearing jackets while waiting to eat inside. We would have also ordered some desserts and liqueurs, but the slightly slow service (forgivable given the crowds) and the temperatures affected us. I would advise them not to offer the makeshift tables they recovered because they are very shabby and rusty and not suitable for paper placemats. I would also suggest at least one paper menu per table because the smartphone-dependent QR codes limit the ability of the elderly to read them. In short, I wouldn't go back with my family. Their effort to resolve the mix-ups was appreciable; they gave us a discount at checkout and even offered us some bitters if we wanted them, so well done.
