The food is good, the atmosphere is typical Italian, noisy, a lot of conversations, nice... but the gentleman who counts the bill no matter what... pay attention to that. Perhaps it's a coincidence, but within a few days in Rome this is another situation where an extra charge is added to the bill. Maybe they have made a habit of it when they feel like a foreign speaker

Was there this Saturday evening, just the two of us. It's a medium sized place that is far more than just a pizzeria. Went in without a reservation but the owner found us a table after a little persuasion. We were the first but it soon filled up with locals and we were the only tourists. The antipasti choice was ok but the gnocchi and meatballs were great. Wine was more expensive than other recent experience, €19 for a bottle of organic pecorino, but it was very nice. What we loved was the fact it was packed with local families making a right din as they chatted. No music required! Two starters, two main courses and the wine for €50 is pretty good in my book and I'd go again 😊

We went there attracted by being able to eat typical Neapolitan dishes and pizza but this was not the case. As you can see from the photos, the montanarine are of a size equal to the red puff pastry pizzas found at buffets and not the width and height of the classic Neapolitan ones, soft, tall and tasty. The mozzarella in carrozza, equally far from the traditional classic, but all in all not bad. We wanted pasta, potatoes and provola but we were told that it wasn't possible to have it that day, so we all opted for pizza, given that the domed wood-fired oven is clearly visible at the entrance to the restaurant: we were also disappointed by this. Two of us chose the pizza with the crust filled with ricotta, as can be seen from the photos and videos, there was only the smell of filling, absolutely far from typical Neapolitan. The pizza, dough and cooking, very far from the real thing, hard at the base, very low crust, not soft and difficult to digest. Obviously we didn't take desserts to avoid further disappointment. It seemed to us that, name aside, the staff is absolutely not Neapolitan and therefore obviously you cannot have the type of cuisine promised: too bad.

In a society where everyone is in a hurry (cause of the negative reviews which in my opinion are wrong) we found a restaurant where time is relative, a positive thing as it allows you to relax with chatter and laughter and enjoy the excellent food. Very honest prices. Only piece of advice... the waiter was a little more smiley but otherwise excellent
