We stopped for lunch and in addition to tasting some excellent products, the owner explained the local history and traditions to us. A source of knowledge transmitted with passion. Thank you!

I am writing this review for both the b&b and the winebar. The rooms booked with booking should be more refined to be more welcoming. They are very basic and some accessories/furnishings are a little dated. For example, in our room the towel rack was broken (it fell to the floor as soon as I put the towel down) while in the other room there was little pressure in the shower. The bed was comfortable and the cleanliness of the room was fine but in the corridor and especially in the entrance doors some cobwebs and especially dust could be removed. Very standard breakfast, considering the area. Only sweet and not very artisanal at Km zero. We had two gluten-free breakfasts, always only sweet and of average quality. The wine bar was a little disappointing. We were the only customers and, apart from a friend who ordered slices of beef with roast potatoes, we wanted to have a simple aperitif. For this reason I had booked a table and I had warned that two people were celiac but since it was a reservation for an aperitif (and not dinner) there was no bread for them. In the meantime, however, we each paid €2.50 for cover charge and bread (see receipt) but there was no bread for them. And the place setting was a placemat with paper napkins. We ordered, from the menu, a platter of cold cuts, a platter of cheeses and a fresh goat cheese. We didn't ask for the quantities but we received three measly plates of cured meats (there were four of us but one ordered as above): a slice of raw ham, two slices of sausage, a slice of coppa and one of bacon. Price €13 per dish. On the menu the cold cuts platter cost €13 but I doubt it was that poor (good for goodness sake but I've never seen so little and I know the area very well). The cheese board arrived on a SINGLE plate placed in the center of the table. A slightly less meager cutting board but we didn't understand the portions. In fact, on the receipt we paid for two at €13 each. In short, for these dishes for three people (excluding the fourth person and drinks) we paid €81 (€27 each). Very expensive and disappointing for the quantities. Like a restaurant but you're not in a restaurant. The delicious beers, both gluten-free and artisanal ones from Orgosolo and, at least these, at honest prices. I'm sorry but we felt cheated and we couldn't speak to the owner because he wasn't there at the time of our check out and payment. I repeat that for Oliena and the surrounding towns, prices in relation to quantities are just out of the market.

I didn't use the rooms so I can only give an opinion on the wine bar which is certainly positive. Convenient, location on the provincial road, there is the possibility of parking on the street (they only have a couple of parking spaces in front of the restaurant). Some tables are also placed outdoors and this is where I ordered a platter of cold cuts and cheeses and beer. The staff is friendly and fast. The prices are honest. The environment is clean and simple. A beautiful mural on the external wall.

Giuseppe and his wife are two truly pleasant people! We tasted a complete platter of typical products and drank an excellent bottle of NEPENTE wine recommended by Giuseppe! Overall, we had a lovely evening and felt at home straight away!
