Very warm welcome and good advice on wines. We enjoyed delicious Italian dishes in tapas portions to share... the person who looked after us was lovely, made a lot of effort to understand us and communicate with us. The only downside: the atmosphere inside is a little cold. Highly recommended

Great experience at the "Mamma Elvira" wine shop. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. The selection of wines is vast and of quality and Stefania, the sommelier, with her passion, cordiality and competence, not only was able to guide us in the choice of wine by explaining in detail the characteristics and the pairing with food, but she also shared with us interesting anecdotes about the history of wines and their production. During our 3-generation journey (grandmother, mother and daughter) we were very lucky to get to know Enoteca Mamma Elvira and its delicacies. We went for a chat before dinner with a good glass of Salento wine. We were welcomed with the savoir faire of a multi-starred restaurant and Stefania, the Chef, immediately found the solution to make my mother sit comfortably with cushions and back support. As for the wines, there is an embarrassment of choice and we were very well advised. We accompanied the glass of wine with an excellent crostone with crushed tomatoes that I highly recommend! To our surprise, after this aperitif, the waiter strongly suggested that we try their desserts. Very intrigued, we returned after dinner and it is really an understatement to say that Stefania took us to seventh heaven with desserts that were not only exquisite, but also surprising to the palate, in the search for ingredients and combinations. We wanted to try them all! The names already say it all: •⁠ ⁠Spiced dark chocolate mousse with mostacciolo, Maldon salt and extra virgin olive oil. •⁠ ⁠⁠Lemon curd with fresh flamed meringues. •⁠ ⁠⁠Cloud tiramisu with Salento pastries •⁠ ⁠⁠Panna cotta with Terrarossa B94 beer caramel and Salento copeta Not to mention the delicious wine that accompanied them … What we really liked was the perfect combination of a very welcoming and simple place, fabulous wines, exquisite traditional Salento appetizers, desserts from an exclusive 5-star restaurant and above all a great love for their land. Those who don't go to Mamma Elvira will miss out on unique emotions that are definitely worth much more than what we paid. When we return to Lecce we will definitely return!

Walking through the streets of the historic center, before a concert, we stopped at Mamma Elvira for a sandwich: exceptional taste and quality; kind and helpful staff. The final treat was the dessert. Definitely recommended
