A very enjoyable walk. The setting was fantastic, with a truly remarkable view of the valley. However, it took us over an hour to eat just one dish, which was very good. We'd been warned it would take a while, but I didn't expect it to be that long. So I highly recommend making a reservation, but be patient or bring sandwiches.

Just what we were looking for in a traditional mountain restaurant: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and above all, traditional and hearty dishes.
In the winter, they can only be reached on foot, an hour's walk from the village of Ortisè, and it's worth it.
The building and interior are well-maintained and convey a sense of mountain warmth, while all the dishes we ate were hearty and tasty, especially when paired with a nice glass of wine.
The wait staff were always available even when the restaurant was busy, and the value for money was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended!

Excellent winter walk. Park in Ortisè and then continue on foot, as the road is closed to cars. There are patches of ice; less experienced hikers may want to use crampons. The food is excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Everything was beautiful...the bill was a bit steep...a few euros more than what was stated on the menu. It must be the Christmas period...well...

Reachable on foot, parking in several places along the road to Ortisei; we left the car at the school.
Walk along the paved road, with ice and low snow in places, then more dirt paths leading to the mountain hut, all signposted; otherwise, continue on the main road.
An hour, medium intensity, you can stop to admire the view.
The walk is entirely exposed to the sun; I had to lighten my load during the journey due to the heat.
The hut has a very spacious interior and tables and benches outside with a view of the Dolomites, truly superb.
Make a reservation to secure your seats.
Always open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In the evenings, groups only by reservation.
At the end of December, the only place open on the marked mountain hut tour.
Friendly staff, packed during the holidays, served quickly and courteously.
Dogs are allowed both inside and outside.
Varied menu with local dishes, really well cooked.
Prices are standard for this type of restaurant, and eating outside is truly priceless.
Useful for a stopover, also for the bar service.

A warm, welcoming wooden hut, with the cozy stube behind you. Dumplings, stews, goulash, and traditional, well-made desserts. Wonderful views of the Val di Sole. Absolutely fair price, around €35.

We returned here after a month because we fell in love with the atmosphere. Sure, the snow helps, but the trail is only comparable to the attention the owners show to their dishes and their customers.
We were late due to the weather (forced to put on snow chains), but they still reserved the table we requested next to the stove.
Delicious dishes, no problems.
Thank you so much, we'll definitely see you again.
Maybe this summer too.

Pleasantly surprised by the facility. The name "malga" (mountain hut) only refers to the location. Otherwise, it's a good and beautiful restaurant. Well done.

A must-visit whenever we spend time in Val di Sole. Excellent food, well-cooked and beautifully presented. Attentive, friendly, and attentive service. Superb ambiance both inside and out. Worth the walk up, leaving the car in Ortisè.
