Even in late October, it was still wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the delicious Tris dumplings, freshly made by ourselves. We were warmly and very friendly, served in beautiful South Tyrolean attire, and enjoyed them. We had a lovely chat about the valley and finished off with a small, very fine schnapps. Simply amazing! Definitely worth a visit and planning a visit!

Spending the night at the Mitterkaseralm was my personal highlight on the Merano High Trail. As soon as I entered this 800-year-old alpine hut, I felt transported to another time. We received a very warm welcome; the freshly cooked goulash with dumplings was simply amazing, the breakfast was varied, the beds were comfortable, the sound of cowbells was relaxing, and the cozy get-together in the guest room—all of it is a wonderful memory! A huge thank you for your hospitality!

On our tour along the Merano High Trail, we stayed overnight at this wonderful alpine hut. We were delighted by the warm and friendly hospitality, and not least by the incredible age of the hut, approximately 800 years old, with its rustic, dark, roughly hewn rooms made of ancient, creaky wood, which made you feel like you'd been transported back centuries. All this, nestled in the alpine setting, with a rushing mountain stream and the sound of cowbells ringing in the background, made for a stay we'll remember fondly.

We spent our second evening of our Merano High Trail tour here. The hostess was very kind and gave us a warm welcome. For dinner, we had homemade dumplings (beetroot dumplings and cheese dumplings) with fresh chanterelle mushrooms, freshly prepared for us. The food was amazing! The breakfast was varied and delicious. We spent a very fun and cozy evening there, thank you very much! The accommodation is a rustic 800-year-old house and really offers more than you'd expect. So if you enjoy sleeping in rustic cottages or would like to try it out, you should definitely spend a night here. Thank you, Kiki, for this wonderful and very fun evening with you.
