Even in late October, it was wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the delicious Tris dumplings, freshly made. Warmly and very friendly reception and enjoyment in the beautiful South Tyrolean region, very nice conversation about the valley and a small, very fine schnapps at the end. Simply awesome! Definitely worth a visit and plan!!!

The overnight stay at the Mitterkaseralm was my personal highlight on the Meraner Höhenweg. As soon as I entered this 800-year-old alpine hut, I felt like I had been transported to another time. We received a very warm welcome, the freshly cooked goulash with dumplings was simply great, the breakfast was varied, the beds were comfortable, the ringing of cowbells was relaxing, the cozy get-together in the restaurant - everything was a nice memory! A big thank you for the hospitality!

On our tour on the Meraner Höhenweg we stayed overnight on this great alpine pasture. We were impressed by the very warm and friendly hospitality and, last but not least, the incredible age of the Alm of around 800 years with its rustic, dark, roughly built rooms made of ancient, creaky wood, in which you felt like you had been transported back centuries. All of this embedded in the alpine location, with a rushing torrent and the ringing of cowbells in the background, resulted in a stay that we will remember very fondly.

We spent our second evening of our tour of the Meraner Höhenweg here. The landlady was very kind and welcomed us warmly. For dinner there were homemade dumplings (beetroot dumplings & cheese dumplings) with fresh chanterelles prepared for us. The food was amazing! The breakfast was varied and very tasty. We had a very fun and cozy evening there, thank you very much! The accommodation is a rustic 800 year old house and actually offers more than you expect. So if you like sleeping in rustic houses or would like to try it out, you should definitely spend a night here. Thank you Kiki for this wonderful and very fun evening with you.

Ristorante Hotel Cristallo

06/04/2025: The Hotel Cristallo is a small and quiet hotel where you can relax very well. The room was clean, bright and friendly. There was no car noise at night. The breakfast left nothing to be desired, the buffet was regularly replenished, or you could ask the extremely friendly staff. What was praiseworthy was the flexibility on the day of arrival, when we were allowed to go into the room from 9:30 a.m. and have breakfast beforehand without registering. The bus stop can be reached within a maximum of 5 minutes on foot, making the hotel a wonderful starting point for activities in the surrounding area, even without a vehicle. The Hotel Cristallo is absolutely and fully recommended if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday.
16/02/2025: We spent another week at the Cristallo, and as always, it was very nice and pleasant. A small but very fine hotel with excellent service. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, there's a lovely wellness area, and the overnight stay includes a very extensive breakfast buffet. In the evening, you can eat in the bistro/restaurant and choose between a four-course menu or à la carte. All the dishes were delicious and the prices were fair. Many thanks to all the staff and the hotel management; we would be happy to come back.

02/02/2025: We have been visiting this restaurant off and on for seven years. The food was always excellent and of consistent quality! The service has been the same for many years and is always very attentive and friendly. We look forward to visiting there again every year.
