Delicious burger with a fantastic view of the Antholz Valley. Very friendly staff. Pleasant walk along the forest road. There's a shortcut, but it's a bit steep, while the "normal" route is longer but very comfortable.

Excellent pullpork burger and equally good apple pie. This mountain hut is different from the others and the food is excellent. The staff is fast and friendly.

Beautiful alpine pasture with a fantastic view! The food isn't large, but it's beautifully presented and delicious! There are also other dishes to choose from.

We had lunch at the Hochrautalm mountain hut and had a truly enjoyable experience. The food was excellent: the generous and generous platter featured quality local produce; the dumplings and pulled pork burger were also tasty and generously portioned. The atmosphere is warm and traditional, with a splendid view of the valley and the Dolomites, making it all the more enchanting. The staff was friendly, though a little slow-witted, as we had to ask for cutlery and napkins several times. We recommend this mountain hut to anyone who wants to savor traditional dishes surrounded by an enchanting landscape.

A splendid mountain hut! Easy to reach, thanks to a wide, shaded gravel road that initially climbs and then descends. We enjoyed a very rich Pusterese snack, with traditional cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by pickled vegetables, fruit compotes, and homemade bread. The nettle dumplings and chanterelle gnocchi were also phenomenal. Dishes were carefully crafted, both in terms of flavor combinations and the aesthetics of the plating. The staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Beautiful mountain hut! From the menu to the service, everything is carefully thought out. The spaetzle with chanterelles is excellent. I really appreciated the POS payment with receipt! We'll definitely be back :)

03/01/2026: 5 Stars - An Unforgettable New Year's Eve at the Schmiederalm! Dear Schmiederalm Family, we would like to thank you for the unforgettable stay! Our 5 nights in room number 1 were fantastic. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the view from the bed and balcony was simply breathtaking! The mountains at sunset – magical! Breakfast was a highlight every morning. A generous platter of cold cuts and cheeses on every table, a large bread basket, and fresh eggs made to order. Dinner in the traditional dining room was superb and cozy. The Strauben (a type of Austrian fried pastry) was another highlight! But the best thing was the incredibly friendly hosts! Even Grandpa helped out. And of course, we mustn't forget the super cuddly cat! The Schmiederalm's location is perfect for hikers and skiers. We were in fantastic ski resorts within half an hour and were also able to enjoy wonderful hikes. We highly recommend the Schmiederalm and will definitely come back again in the summer! 12/12/2025: Kräuterrestaurant Arcana is a truly unique place: every dish here exudes the aroma of fresh herbs and creativity. The atmosphere is intimate and refined, with a natural touch that makes everything very relaxing. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, and they passionately explain the use of herbs in each course. I thoroughly enjoyed the wild herb risotto, delicate yet rich in aromas, and the herb-marinated beef dish, tender and full of flavor. The desserts, especially the one with aromatic herbs, are also a pleasant surprise. The prices are fair for the unique experience the restaurant offers. Perfect for those who love discovering new flavors and cuisine with attention to detail.
