21/07/2025: A decent hotel in the center of Ora. We disagree with the many bad reviews: the dinner was good (a bit overpriced), with prompt and friendly service. The room and breakfast were all good. The only downside: at check-in, they needed our ID for 20 minutes (???), and in the morning there was no one at the desk, so we left without our ID. Fortunately, there were people traveling with us who were going the same way and were able to take theirs.
15/07/2025: I recently spent a couple of weeks at the Hotel Elefant, a conveniently located 3-star hotel in the center of Aures. My room was very spacious and comfortable, contributing to an enjoyable stay. Although the curtains could be improved to better block out light, it wasn't a significant problem.
One annoyance was the air conditioning, which would randomly stop or reset to a higher temperature, forcing me to readjust it. Additionally, I experienced some occasional issues with the Wi-Fi, but fortunately, it didn't happen very often.
The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options. However, during peak times when the hotel is full, the breakfast room can become overcrowded and uncomfortable, but this was not a frequent occurrence.
The staff was friendly and helpful, but it's worth noting that there is no 24-hour reception. When my transportation was delayed, and they had to wait for me, they seemed quite annoyed.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Elefant, and its central location in Aures is a definite plus. While there are a few areas that could be improved, I would still recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
