I often eat at Magna Roma in via Cilestri when I'm in Catania... everything is excellent... recommended

We often come here to eat at magna Roma with my husband and we are often served by Mr. Alessandro who is always very kind and nice with super excellent service. Every time we are always very satisfied!

I give 3 stars solely for the courtesy of the waiter who served us, but unfortunately I won't be returning. We had a reservation for 2.00 pm, but we were only seated at 2.35 pm, in an extremely hot and uncomfortable mezzanine. After ordering, we waited 20 minutes for simple chips, and the first courses turned out to be disappointing, lacking the Roman authenticity we expected. An unsatisfactory experience in several respects. If you are not able to organize the service and satisfy customers, perhaps it would be appropriate to manage a smaller number of reservations, so as to guarantee a service that meets expectations. Today at lunch I had the pleasure of discovering Magna Roma in Catania in the company of my girlfriend, and I must say that the experience was decidedly positive. The restaurant immediately appears welcoming, spacious and with attention to detail, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a good meal. We opted for the combo of first courses, tasting their pasta carbonara and wisteria. Both dishes proved to be of excellent quality, with perfectly cooked pasta and tasty, well-executed condiments. Particular praise goes to the goodness of the first courses, which testify to the attention and passion they put into their cuisine. The service was efficient and the staff were friendly and helpful, helping to make our lunch even more enjoyable. In conclusion, Magna Roma proved to be an excellent choice for lunch in Catania. If you are looking for a restaurant with a selection of quality Roman first courses, courteous service and a welcoming environment, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I was passing through on a Sunday evening and we decided to eat something at Magna Roma having heard good things about it First of all, it was Sunday evening, and when we arrived, there was no confusion. Once inside, a gentleman with a burgundy shirt welcomes us, introducing himself and directing us to a table of his choice. Once seated, we asked if we could sit at a more comfortable table since the one he chose was a bit shaky. Alas, there was no way to choose the table (most of the room was empty) Having overlooked this, during the service, we asked (always the gentleman who welcomed us) to recommend something. Between the babbling and the imprecision, in the end we didn't receive any response, in fact he delegated it to one of the girls, a blonde with a very sweet smile, who was able to help us. While we were eating (everything was amazing) we had the unpleasant experience of witnessing numerous heated and almost mortifying reproaches at times, from the gentleman in the burgundy shirt (I presume he was the manager) to the waiters who (a completely shocking thing to do in front of customers) were doing everything they could. Review: Fantastic food, compliments, but the staff don't treat each other that way, especially in front of a customer. I give a 5 star review in addition to the excellent food, only thanks to the guys, who, looking at the whole scene, demonstrated disarming patience and professionalism, especially since as a restaurant worker, I know how difficult it can be to do this job and above all humiliating to put on a show in this way...
