We chose to celebrate the first day of this new year, for lunch, in this splendid restaurant in Alatri. Varied, refined, refined, creative menu. From the appetizer to the dessert, we felt like we were on a journey through time among the flavours, smells and colors of a generous, cultured and succulent land like Italy. Every detail, from the welcome to the last bite, is taken care of with love and professionalism. 1. *Welcome* From the moment we entered, we were greeted with a warmth and friendliness that immediately made us feel at home. The staff was very attentive and available to satisfy our every request. 2. *Ambience*: The environment is enchanting and relaxing, with attention to detail, the place is beautiful from an architectural point of view. The decoration is elegant but at the same time welcoming, creating a perfect atmosphere. 3. *Food*: The real protagonist is, of course, food. Each dish is a symphony of flavors and colours, made with fresh ingredients, with typical local products and above all of high quality. From the first to the last dish, everything was delicious. The presentation of the dishes was taken care of in detail. 4. *Service*: The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, always ready to explain the dishes and suggest the best combinations. 5. *Price-Quality*: Considering the extraordinary quality of the food and service, the prices are absolutely fair. You can clearly perceive that every euro spent is worth the unique experience you have at Madreterra. Madreterra is a restaurant that strikes you for its location, history, right in the historic center and it is worth the trip, because chef Lorenzo and his wife Ilaria deserve it, and a lot. First of all the welcome, then the expertly furnished restaurant, and the journey begins with the bread, prepared by them with the best raw materials, such as pasta, from Senatore Cappelli wheat. Just to mention the appetizer we opted for a Nipponitaly ( an eye to the East for a divine sea bass), my garden of vegetables expertly contained in a crunchy casing...we continued with a Spaccanapoli to try for the delicacy of the Genoese veal cooked for hours, those of us who have tasted herbal tea on the beach have tried a Po Delta risotto with chamomile, coastal pink prawns and truly exceptional caviar. Excellent wine cellar and not least among the desserts. The Caseus cheeses are also excellent (great idea to offer excellent cheeses with compotes as dessert) I won't go any further to leave the surprise of dishes that embrace territoriality and tradition with great dedication and with a keen eye for innovation, but we were enthusiastic and leaving Rome is really worth the trip, happy to be able to be customers and savor a truly satisfying and attentive cuisine in every way.
