After visiting the archaeological site, we were looking for a place to eat. Luna Caprese pizzeria caught our eye. It's a very simple and basic place, but we had an exceptional pizza.

A very welcome lunch after climbing Vesuvius, (with help from the bus). I recommend Proscutto e mozzarella. Sat outside under the umbrella.

We arrived at this little place after an exciting visit to the Herculaneum archaeological park around 3 pm. We expected a "No, sorry, the kitchen is already closed," but Claudia, with disarming sweetness, welcomed us with, "No, it's not late, at least you're keeping us company!" 💓-said, like the true Neapolitan heart. We immediately felt like family. The food was divine, generous portions, and excellent quality. As it was time to leave, I, not one for affection, let myself go into a warm embrace, saying "See you soon!" 💞

19/12/2025: Very nice place. I happened upon it at the wrong time (they were doing some renovations), but they were still kind and courteous, and we were served attentively and politely. The food was very good, and the beer (which we drank a lot of) was excellent! Highly recommended!
16/11/2025: Discovered by chance during a trip to Naples while wandering around the area, I can only say that on a rainy day like today in a small town in Trentino I miss a place like this both for quality and service.

01/02/2026: Excellent pizza...super fast service...fair prices. I recommend it for a quick pizza...any time of day.
16/01/2026: We looked for another pizzeria that was supposedly open before 12:00, but unfortunately it wasn't. Pizzeria Donna Sofia is. So, if you want a delicious pizza before 12, it's worth visiting this place. I ordered a Quatrofomaggi, and it arrived really quickly, thick with cheese. I remember back home they treat cheese on pizza much more modestly. So this was more like cheese on a small pizza base. :-D. The dough was pleasantly soft and the edges were sufficiently fried.
