L'Ottavo Colle In Roma

We've been coming to Camping Flaminio for 3 years, and you're our favorite place! Simple but excellent food, always friendly and polite staff. Every time we leave, we can't wait to return. We'll definitely see you next year! Love

We spent a week at the campsite and in the restaurant every night. We appreciated Florine, the waitress, who was very cheerful and welcoming, unlike the lady or the other waiter. We also have nothing to complain about the runners, who were top-notch. The lady needs to relax a bit; she always gets angry or makes us feel like we're bothering her if we haven't booked or when it's time to pay in cash, which she doesn't like either... so thankfully Florine was there to raise the bar, thanks to him!

The staff was very friendly and attentive. There was nothing on the menu we didn't like (everything was excellent). The owner runs the restaurant very well. We've been coming here for many years. Small recommendation: Reserve a table, as the locals also like to eat here.

The campsite restaurant, to be honest, had rather low expectations before we went. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. The waiters were very friendly, and we ate mussels that were small but plump, fat, and, most importantly, super fresh. The same goes for the japonica and carril clams. Carbonara was very good, and the mixed salad was decent. We saw grilled meat coming out at other tables, and it looked spectacular. If you want to dine at the campsite, this is definitely a great option.

The restaurant enjoys a prime location surrounded by greenery, yet is still close to the city center. Children can play freely in the playground. The food is top-notch, and the service is prompt. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant is accessed from Via Flaminia Nuova, heading towards Rome, on the right, about 2 km from the ring road, near the entrance to a very nice campsite. I dined with friends and everyone was satisfied. The selection of first courses was excellent, and the meat was excellent. I personally didn't eat the fish, so I can't comment. Reservations are recommended. The restaurant was full at dinner time. Not a good choice for dinner with children, in my opinion, although I remember correctly; there is a dedicated area for them. The wait time, based on the order, was about 20-25 minutes. The staff was friendly and attentive to the customer's needs. The atmosphere is rustic and family-friendly, yet absolutely pleasant, with outdoor tables under a portico and an indoor dining area, which I saw while driving by but didn't use. In my opinion, it's a good place to spend an evening with friends, having eaten well and spending a reasonable amount for what you ordered. There is reserved parking for the restaurant.

Today, Monday, July 7, 2025, four of us went to L'Ottavo Colle without a reservation. Although the restaurant was obviously fully booked, they still managed to get us a table for four without any fuss and served us quickly and friendly. I'm giving it 4.7 stars because the food wasn't exceptionally good, but it certainly wasn't bad either. The only thing that bothered me was that the bread served was a bit hard. Whether that was intentional or whether it was from the day before, I can't say. Otherwise, we enjoyed everything, and all four of us were full. For main courses, we had lasagna, a mixed grilled meat platter, spaghetti carbonara, and pizza Napoli. I had read some negative reviews beforehand, which I can't understand after our experience. The restaurant can't be that bad, since many locals also come here. As I mentioned, it was fully booked, and that was on a Monday. We would be happy to come back.

We arrive at this place for a dinner with friends. Having booked a table in advance, we find ourselves stuck together almost as if it were a single table with those next to us. Considering that they have a huge space to be able to manage the spaces better. We order, after a thousand calls to the irritated waiters and after they answered that they are busy. TO ORDER who should we call? Oh well... as they say, let's move on. The order arrived: Italian appetizer with the bare minimum on the cutting board (for €12) and fried foods (the ones from the supermarket are even better), after finishing this the pizza arrives. It seemed like seasoned cardboard and not much at that. Average bill (in other places I know you eat much better paying the same amount) and attached parking, but not very large... all this for 3 stars otherwise they wouldn't even deserve 2 for the treatment received. Never again!

I like the garden and the very internal position, from Flaminia you have to go a bit further up to the campsite. The interior is spartan, the pizza is good average, I took a basil one and it didn't seem to change much compared to the traditional Margherita. The Roman first courses seemed well seasoned and in the right portion. The appetizers/fried foods are the classic ones but very pleasant. I really liked the tiramisu

Menù tradizionale di qualità eccelsa, servizio eccellente e veloce con personale di sala professionale e cordiale, anche con ristorante pieno. Davvero top!!!
