My favorite place. At Oste Maurizio, you don't just go for good food—you go to feel at home. Every dish is a treat; you can taste the passion and love that goes into everything. From the first to the last course, it's impossible to find anything less than delicious. Maurizio is a wonderful person, incredibly sweet, always attentive and authentic: he manages to create a family and genuine atmosphere that makes every evening special. A place where I always return with a smile, because I know it's the true flavor of Sicily and a heartwarming welcome.

A true Osteria, with a true host. The atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, and intimate, even with Maurizio, who puts guests at ease and knows how to recommend and make suggestions. Excellent quality food, generous portions, and a decent wine list. Good value for money. Recommended!

We can only confirm what other reviews have said... excellent quality food and a host who behaves like one, "sharing" the evening with his customers. Generous portions and all dishes are well-prepared. The bill is very fair, and even the receipt shows payment in cash... a true dream... absolutely worth a try. Highly recommended.

A very positive experience. Beautifully presented dishes and impeccable service. But it was the choice of dishes that really stood out. The appetizers, first courses, and meat-based main courses were truly delicious. I'll be back.

good food/price ratio, lots of quality

I ate at this wonderful restaurant exactly yesterday, Sunday, October 19th, to celebrate (let's say) my birthday, which was already on the 14th. I wasn't familiar with the place and stumbled upon it at random among various last-minute searches (given the impossibility of eating in the center of Catania). I don't know if it was destiny that I would eat there or something similar, but I've never found a better place than this. The two wait staff were extremely kind and polite, as well as helpful, and the place was extremely cute and welcoming. Most importantly, the food was spectacular. The tagliatelle with pork shank was literally perfect (both cooked and flavored), and the shank was sublime. The donkey fillet (if I'm not mistaken) was incredibly tender and delicious (very few times have I eaten such good meat), and even the dishes my relatives ordered (according to them) were delicious. I'll stop here by saying that it is LITERALLY one of the best places I've ever visited or eaten at. My heartfelt congratulations, not only to the wait staff but especially to the people who cooked such a spectacle. I will definitely be back to eat there again. (I say this with great politeness, to all those who will leave negative reviews, you don't understand anything.) Oh yes, for dishes like those, those prices are perfect, so stop bothering me by saying it's expensive (go eat the kebab). It's a shame we can't give more stars because you deserve so many more.

If you love good, well-cooked meat and want to enjoy it slowly in a welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant is an excellent choice. Great for special occasions or for those who want more... We'll gladly return to try other cuts of meat! Maurizio, a true Host, and the wait staff are extremely attentive.

Cenare da Maurizio è stata una piacevole sorpresa! I primi super ,secondi eccezionali e dolci stratosferici! Il tutto sapientemente presentato e consigliato. Ama il suo lavoro e lo sa fare ! A presto! Marcello e Beatrice Ps dimenticavo gli antipasti splendidi!!!

Cenare all'Oste Maurizio é sempre un'esperienza piacevolissima. Sono ritornata nuovamente con il ricordo degli arrosticini , la tuma fritta e le patate erotike e sono stata accontentata ... sempre buonissimi. Avevo già provato la fiorentina ( top) ed é stata la volta del filetto ...si scioglieva in bocca. Ottimo veramente. E per concludere il loro gelato artigianale , ho scelto torrone con mandorle e caramello ...wow . L'Oste Maurizio é sempre una garanzia per un pranzo o una cena doc . L'attenzione al cliente di Maurizio é veramente lodevole. Ci ritornerò ancora e ancora.
