L'orchidea In Matera

On a trip to Troina, we decided to have a pizza 🍕 at this restaurant/pizzeria called L'Orchidea! I felt like I was back in the '80s, with large, cold rooms and dated furnishings (tables, chairs, and tablecloths). It's clean, with a bar at the entrance and very young, obviously inexperienced staff. And now the pizza! Nothing special, but classic, perhaps a little toasty, but everything was cooked thoroughly (even too well), but for Ferragosto (August 15th), it's a good idea. Honestly, I'll try other pizzerias in the area!

We were seated immediately and were able to order quickly, which initially made a good impression. Unfortunately, the food didn't arrive at the same time – some at the table had to wait over 45 minutes. It seemed as if we had simply been forgotten. It's a shame, because the start was promising, but the service significantly dampened the overall experience.
