A trattoria from a bygone era. We went on a Saturday evening and since there were quite a few people, it was a bit difficult to talk calmly. The quality of the food is decent, with generous portions and fair prices. I gave it three stars because I found the tagliatelle with ragù not at all rough, but the ragù was good. The crescentine were good, but a bit greasy. There's ample parking.

The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. Good value for money. The space is spacious, with rooms suitable for groups or parties. If you like polenta, ask when you make a reservation, as they don't always do it.

A very unique yet simple place: its 60 years of operation have each left their mark... what you notice as soon as you enter, in fact, is precisely this sedimentation of the various elements left there by the years and decades past (the elements from the 1970s are the most evident), and all of this, in my opinion, has its own charm. The waiters are very kind and precise in their service, and the owner (the chef's daughter and in charge of taking orders) welcomes customers with warmth and friendliness. The food is truly excellent: we had excellent polenta (both with ragù and with mushrooms and cheese), delicious ravioli with ricotta, and wonderful crescentine. I will definitely be back!

Suspended in the past, there are still very few trattorias in the hills of the Bolognese Apennines, the certainty of flavors that have remained the same for decades. Mattarozzi is anything but a modern and trendy place; once you sit down, you'll understand the difference from the many places that have sprung up to mimic the trattorias and osterias of the past.
