On the edge of the historic center, a lovely restaurant serving rich, delicious traditional dishes, complemented by friendly, helpful service!

The menu has shrunk compared to the last two years, but I'm still very satisfied. The traditional dishes are always excellent, while if you prefer a more "tourist" dish that can please a variety of palates, like the sliced ​​beef, don't expect excellence. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the typical "Puglian portion." The photos show two "antipasti" (parmigiana and fava bean puree with sautéed chicory) that could easily fill you up as a main course. The side dish of cooked vegetables is also very generous (according to those at the table nearby). Be sure to eat according to your stomach size 😃 This has become a regular stop every time I return to Ugento. It never disappoints. The staff is always kind and attentive. There may be a bit of a wait, but nothing annoying or unusual. It still deserves 5 stars, even if the sliced ​​beef wasn't top-notch. As far as I'm concerned, the fava bean puree with chicory remains one of the most successful and typical dishes, along with the pittule and panzerotti mix. This inn is located near the historic center of Ugento. They serve tasty traditional dishes in generous portions. They have a good selection of wines. The service is simple, the young woman who looked after us was excellent at explaining and offering recommendations on the food. The atmosphere is quiet, and they also have an outdoor area with tables and a gazebo. Prices are a little above average, but that's acceptable for good food.

The outdoor tables border the street; I recommend managing this better, perhaps with grills and planters that provide better insulation and make the presence of cars less noticeable. Positive experience. They respond very quickly to the WhatsApp number. The service is friendly and helpful, but a bit slow. The Pittules are good, as are the first courses. For dessert, we had spumone and soft serve gelato, both good. Prices are high for a small town.
