I've known Locanda Cecchino for almost 50 years. It's an icon of the Piane di Carniglia, a family-run establishment serving traditional local produce and historic home cooking. Over time, it has undergone changes, closing and reopening due to changes in ownership. I stopped in for a meal with my family after years, and I was curious about this new opening. The place is always very quiet, with a beautiful expanse of greenery perfect for families with children to play in. The service is friendly, the food is good, and the new menu includes traditional dishes and a few variations. It's worth a visit and trying this cuisine. I could write a book about Cecchino. Let's just say that today they're closing an old chapter and starting a new one under new management. Good luck!

A quiet location in the Apennine area near Parma, this inn offers the opportunity to sample some typical Ligurian fare. Delicious food, with reasonable portions and prices. A flag awarded for returning.
