What an amazing experience. We were staying in the area and emailed them to see if we could get a table for dinner. The service was warm and friendly and the food came from the kitchen at the perfect pace - letting us talk and enjoy it. Each dish was amazing - from the antipasto through to the dessert. Quite possibly one of the most delicious meals of Italian food I can remember having and in a very surprising place. If you are ever hungry and anywhere nearby then make the detour. My only grumble was that I ate far too much!!

A refined, romantic setting suitable for a dinner for two. The food is excellent, an original menu and a good wine cellar. The price is not the cheapest, more or less, you have two courses for 40 euros, drinks excluded, but it is all deserved.

Locale adatto per chi ama fare un tuffo nel passato in termini di esperienza e di location ma con attenzione a gusto e sapori. Tutte le portate buone, gustose e curate nell’impiattamento. Ci tornerei per assaggiare il resto del menù e lo consiglierò ad amici.

Stupenda sorpresa. Un "tuffo nel passato" appena si entra nella locanda che appare come la sala da pranzo della nonna, quella in cui si pranzava la domenica. Pochi tavoli, Carla meravigliosamente discreta nel servizio ed elegante. I piatti sono un'opera d'arte di sapori. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, dall'antipasto al dolce uno spettacolo. Pure il caffè decaffeinato era buono, ed è una cosa rara. Si vede la cura nella scelta delle materie prime. E' diventato il mio posto preferito!!

21/07/2025: We had dinner with one of the three set menus, and I wasn't crazy about the dishes. In my opinion, the only thing I liked was the risotto, but otherwise it was just okay! I don't think I'll be back.
08/07/2025: I'm quite critical when it comes to food: both my husband and I are good at cooking (according to our guests). We don't go out often, but we carefully consider where we try the cuisine, and I have to say this restaurant's themed evenings are fantastic; we were satisfied with both the food and the price. Desserts aren't included, but trust me, they're amazing! The apple crumble is something you'll absolutely love! I bought it at the pastry shop and was disappointed 🤦‍♀️

10/06/2025: Erano alcuni anni che non passavo e ho constatato con piacere che il livello e‘ rimasto alto. Come al solito non potevo non ordinare la cotoletta (nella versione Bismarck) davvero una vera prelibatezza. Nell‘attesa ho degustato l‘orologio dei formaggi, interessante servito con le composte il miele e le cipolle di tropea. La mia commensale ha assaggiato il risotto al limone. Davvero innovativo, profumato e delicato (ho il vizio di assaggiare tutto). Per non parlare del filetto ai funghi porcini davvero delizioso. A questo punto non c‘era piu‘ spazio per i dolci. Sara‘ per la prossima volta. Prezzi onesti, pasteggiato con un ottimo Valpolicella ripasso di un piccolo produttore (di cui purtroppo non ricordo il nome). Ci tornero‘.
