Locanda del Borgo Antico In Magnano

My wife and I stumbled upon Magnano by chance, only to discover it's a popular spot for hikers: great news :-) The welcome was warm, with the waitress quickly taking us to our table (booked through The Fork). Bread and water arrived within minutes. The menu was short, just as we like it: four excellent appetizers, three first courses, and three second courses. Both my wife and I tried the polenta made, as the owner explained, with ancient flour: a delight, with unique and aromatic flavors. My wife had the trout, and I had the wild boar, and we both loved it. Two excellent coffees and a thank you to the chef concluded the visit. Highly recommended.

Refreshment point located in Magnano, approximately 10 km into the second stage of the Prova trail. Excellent location for a lunch stop. The owners are helpful, kind, and friendly. Delicious dishes with a choice of three first courses and three second courses. The pilgrim's menu for €13 (first and second course, water, and coffee) or €17 (first and second course, water, and coffee) is an excellent option. Very satisfied! I recommend it!

An excellent base for the Oropa trail or for spending a weekend immersed in silence and meditation.

Just a quick coffee during a bike ride, nice place and venue in a welcoming village. Friendly staff.

I had dinner here the evening of the first stage of the walk, not much choice of dishes, but I ate a first course of fusilli with red turnip and gorgonzola, delicious! As a second course, a fried trout, good but nothing special, but it should be considered that I am not a fan of fried food, dessert appreciated, they have good craft beers!
