We ate dinner on Saturday evening in a restaurant full of foreign guests of the hotel, who eat early and in fact while we were having dinner they were already preparing the buffet for breakfast the next day... everything very quickly as if to tell us to hurry up. The food was normal, good starters, the main courses left us a bit perplexed, the char seemed only boiled.

The food was pretty good, but the whole experience was spoilt by the waiter who had an abrupt arrogant attitude, the choice of white wine was limited to 4-5 bottles. It’s a shame because the setting and ambience is good and the food was good especially the prawn starter. Maybe the waiter was having bad day, but it shouldn’t impact on the customers!

We recently stayed at Locanda Capolago and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, tastefully and elegantly furnished, all enveloped in fragrant fragrances. The cleanliness of the rooms is impeccable. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful, always ready to satisfy my every need. The breakfast served in the morning was rich and varied, with fresh, high-quality products. We also booked for dinner, and every dish met our expectations. We WILL RETURN over and over again.

Last year, we had a wonderful meal here and a pleasant evening. What a disappointment yesterday. The food was reasonable, but the service was impersonal (especially the waiter). The starter and main course arrived quickly one after the other. A good wine was recommended, though. Everything was rushed, and there was no chance of a chat or a smile. Dining out is an experience, and if the service is disappointing, it really puts a damper on your evening. Unfortunately, I won't be eating here again.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Locanda Capolago am Comer See. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet, und wir haben uns dort rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Hotel befindet sich zwar in einem Hinterhof, doch dieser Eindruck verfliegt schnell – der liebevoll gestaltete Garten mit gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten schafft eine angenehme, einladende Atmosphäre. Die Lage ist ideal: In wenigen Minuten ist man am Seeufer oder an der Bahnstation, von wo aus sich die umliegenden Orte bequem mit dem Boot oder der Bahn erkunden lassen.

05/11/2025: For dinner with my wife and daughter, we had mussels and grilled fish, which were truly delicious and plentiful. Two delicious pizzas, 1/4 wine, water, a Coke, and an excellent and plentiful tiramisu for €76... finally a place with a good quality/price ratio; the staff were courteous and attentive. An important note: the napkins smelled like grandma's laundry... it was a pleasure to use them. The place is tidy, with tables spaced fairly far apart. Being a bit small, it was a bit noisy, but there were two groups right behind us, otherwise I'd say it was normal... but that's okay, it's a nice trattoria/pizzeria in Brianza. We'll definitely be back. P.S.: I also tried it with friends for lunch, with the business menu for around €13... same opinion, sure, more chaotic and the staff... they have to rush, but still always polite.
19/10/2025: Excellent place to eat You'll find everything from pizzas to excellent food, including meat and fish dishes. I ate well, from the first course to the second course. Plenty of outdoor parking. Clean place. The only thing that could be improved is the staff.

05/10/2025: I stopped for lunch; the setting is charming, a good place to stop. It's a shame that the chicken breast I ordered was a bit too dry, but there were other more interesting options.
