Locanda a Sud In Ghiffa

The food in this restaurant is of a high standard, very delicious and the price/performance ratio is absolutely right. The menu impresses with its few but specialized dishes and is specifically NOT aimed at the masses. In July 2024, only fish/seafood was listed. In contrast to many restaurants close to tourists, the Primi e Secondi Piatti are really designed so that you should order both courses in order to fill yourself up. The restaurant is located away from the tourist crowds with a wonderful view and a nice ambience. It is mostly visited by locals. Reservations are strongly recommended as it gets very busy in the evenings. The service speaks excellent English.

We had dinner at Locanda a Sud several times two years ago. It was always very, very good. Yesterday too was simply outstanding. Everything fits and the various dishes were wonderful. The recommended wine was also a perfect match. We'll come by again on Donnerst for our year's finale at the Lake.

Beautiful view of the lake. Good food, but certainly not abundant quantities. Average prices. Friendly and friendly service, it's a shame they only have one waiter, resulting in quite slow service. I would stay here again
