What a beautiful place! You feel truly at ease both in the beautiful frescoed room and in the truly intimate and welcoming garden, thanks in part to the wisdom of those who 80 years ago created a beautiful shaded area with plane trees. Some truly excellent dishes!

The two of us sampled five appetizers, sharing them because we were so eager to try as many dishes as possible. Every single dish was divine, and we'd never tasted anything quite like it before! The view over Lake Maggiore is unparalleled, and the restaurant's ambiance and service were superb! As soon as we're back in the area, we'll definitely be back for another culinary adventure. You simply can't eat better! Many thanks to the two owners.

Officially my favorite restaurant in Verbania ♥ My partner and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here. We ate typical local dishes, with homemade pasta and desserts (even the ladyfingers for tiramisu!). On the menu, I found the Walser pasta that my grandmother used to make; it made me so happy! With every bite of each dish, I wanted more. The location is stunning; it feels like eating in a castle, and in summer, enjoying the lake view must be magnificent! The welcome is impeccable, and the owners are wonderful! Locanda a Sud is a rare and special place, a guarantee!

It was an idyllic experience, both for the exceptional food and the setting, which is decorated with period furniture. The dishes I ordered were truly unique, but the zabaglione cream dessert was out of this world. In the summer, you can eat outside on a terraced garden with a magnificent view. I will definitely be back, as it was one of the most beautiful culinary experiences I've ever had.

A very clever combination of excellent local cheeses. And all without any fuss. Highly recommended for vegetarian gourmets.

An inn with a modern twist on old-world style... understated, elegant, and absolutely welcoming! The welcome is unique, with a family-like yet highly professional tone! The open-plan kitchen is so clean it doesn't even seem like there's a glass partition separating the rooms! The menu is somewhat representative of what's described... EXCELLENT is the adjective. The location is breathtaking, and I won't add anything else. 100% recommended.
