A typical and welcoming place found thanks to excellent Google reviews. We stopped for a meal on a winter's day and took the opportunity to try some tortel, risotto, and an excellent house wine.

If you're in the area and don't visit, you don't know what you're missing. If you love good food, the finest ingredients, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, you have to try this experience. Nine of us ate there, even though the place was tiny, and we had trouble parking because there were three of us. If you're careful, there's parking on the platform before you arrive, and they'd told us about it over the phone when we called to check availability. They were kind and accommodating, allowing nine of us to eat inside the restaurant and not outside, and there were only two mothers and sons working in the restaurant that day! Excellent! Congratulations! The polenta was excellent, especially the truffle one. It's a steep climb because it's on a hill, but this traditional restaurant deserves a good review!

Exceptional! We ate truly wonderfully, from the appetizers—a platter of local cured meats and cheeses—with a special mention for the best speck I've ever eaten in my life—to the legendary potato tortel, which I'd never tried before and was so delicious, we all had seconds. Polenta with donkey stew, polenta with Trentino-style cod, egg (actually, three giant, fresh eggs) with a mountain of truffle, and then the desserts—the Mochena braid was excellent, along with good wine and, to finish, a hay grappa. Traditional dishes cooked wonderfully. We also loved the place—typical, warm, and very welcoming. Top-notch service, both professional and friendly! Excellent value. What more could you ask for? We can't wait to return.

There were two of us.
We had an appetizer, a first course, a second course, two desserts, and a quarter of house wine.
For appetizer, a platter of cured meats and cheeses with tortel: delicious cured meats and cheeses, fresh and melting in your mouth; the tortel, although greasy, weren't heavy, and the fried food was excellent.
Then we had the speck dumplings, also excellent, soft and not too flavorful, but still delicious.
For main course, we had the dish of the day: a trio of meats with polenta. The meat was melting just looking at it, and the polenta was also very good.
Finally, for dessert, a strudel (not puff pastry, but shortcrust pastry?) and a tiramisu. Both were excellent.
Perfect quantities, we finished very satisfied.
Water included with the service charge
for a total of €63 for two.
Super welcoming location, equally friendly and helpful staff.
We'll be back!
