18/01/2025: Historic venue located in the center of Piacenza. The structure and furnishings are distinctive and pleasant, excellent welcome in the room and relaxing atmosphere, the owner, a distinguished gentleman and host, has the ability to put people at ease with just a few words, accompanying the customer with skill and genius towards an important gastronomic experience based on a careful selection of the products of the territory and the historic recipes that characterize the excellence of the Piacenza area. Basket of top quality homemade bread, starter of culaccia and first course of anolini in third broth, superb it is perhaps reductive to define them. Minus the stew of horse cheeks which in my personal opinion was tasteless, almost as if it had not sufficiently bonded to the sauté and the aromas during the long hours of cooking necessary and the morsels were excessively nervous, but not knowing the recipe I cannot judge objectively, in any case I would have preferred something else, maybe pisarei and fattiú. Even among the desserts I found the bunet, atypical devoid of its distinctive character, drowned in cocoa powder, a revisitation or excessive customization perhaps? it would be appropriate to specify it in the list of desserts and the dollop of super market cream should also be avoided.
