L'istrione In Stilo

We visited this restaurant on Monday around noon. We were greeted by the staff who immediately attended to us, the gentleman was attentive. He offered specialties that we did not try, unfortunately we were not very hungry. However, the appetizer for 2 people was great, a large selection of local products. It was tasty, sufficient and we enjoyed our time in this restaurant.

We had dinner at this restaurant and were truly satisfied. The appetizer was excellent and plentiful, with which we sampled several Calabrian specialties, beautifully cooked and presented. The scampi ravioli were also very good. The young staff was kind and very friendly. A pleasant surprise, like Stilo itself.

I had the pleasure of dining in a magical place, nestled in a magical setting: Stilo, in my opinion one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Francesco and the staff were always attentive and welcoming. The platters were filled with delicious, exquisitely Calabrian delicacies. The location is truly enchanting. Highly recommended!

L’Istrione is located in Stilo, in the province of RC, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Together with my friends we opted to have lunch in this restaurant, which I would define as a gem; both for the interior, all completely in stone with a touch of modernity, and for the exterior, since it allows you to be outdoors away from any type of noise (especially cars). We opted for a fish appetizer, I would define abundant and very fresh; they then recommended us to try a first course based on cream of asparagus and lemon with shellfish that I would define SUPERLATIVE. as a second course we had a central grilled fish and a mixed fried fish, also very very good. We then opted for a good Calabrian beer; the restaurant, being the home of beer, has numerous really good craft beers. Very young and competent staff, attentive to every type of customer need. Adequate and not excessive bill. We will return!

Quality food and well presented dishes, excellent value for money, friendly and welcoming staff, pleasant atmosphere, in a quiet little square. Recommended!
