It's a place that stands out in every way: food, ambiance, service... It's a very special fusion that perfectly mixes oriental flavors with Italian ones, obtaining an extraordinary result. Every bite is a pure experience and an explosion of taste and flavors, the attention to detail and quality make it light years ahead of the normal Japanese ones you find around. The slightly higher than average prices are fully justified because here you don't just come to eat but to discover and be excited... The kindness, sweetness, thoughtfulness, professionalism and preparation of the owner then make the evening unforgettable... All in an elegant yet warm and welcoming environment... Highly recommended!

Years ago, Tipanan was my favorite place, but over time, I've been going there less and less. I recently went there for dinner, and I have to say I was disappointed with the first bite. The atmosphere and service were impeccable, as always, but I wasn't satisfied with the food. The rice, for example (and not only) wasn't cooked to the standard Japanese standards. We also asked for two different desserts, which the staff suggested, but they weren't available. Let's hope for better next time, because I've always loved this restaurant. 🙏🏻

A classy restaurant. A refined atmosphere in which to enjoy sushi specialties as well as excellent Mediterranean cuisine. All served by kind, welcoming, and highly professional staff. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants I know.

For the price, you expect a bit more, especially from the food: it's sparse and not particularly good. An all-you-can-eat option is better at this point. For once, if you want to throw money away, I guess it's fine; the location isn't bad.

Good food, but definitely expensive for the portions offered, €12 for 3 gyoza is a bit excessive I'd say it's practically like paying €4 for a potato chip 🤯

Nice and tasty, but with two issues: The gyoza are too expensive for the quantity! The water served isn't bottled, but they charge way too much for it. I mean, buy filtered water if it's free, otherwise it's absolutely no good considering all the water problems in Catanzaro.

We had lunch at Tipanan, located on the Catanzaro seafront, and the experience was truly excellent. The restaurant, in typical Japanese style, is welcoming, with attention to detail, and creates a relaxing atmosphere that complements the sea view perfectly. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional, always ready to recommend the best dishes and accommodate every need with courtesy. The menu offers a selection of Japanese dishes, made with the freshest ingredients and presented with great aesthetic attention. Each course was a pleasure for the palate, with authentic flavors and generous portions. The quality-price ratio was also excellent. We highly recommend Tipanan to anyone looking for a lunch that's a little different: authentic flavors, impeccable service, and a charming location overlooking the sea. We'll definitely be back!
