Levante Pizza e Birra Rubiu In Cagliari

I "dared" to ask for a non-alcoholic beer. They looked at me like I was an alien. It's 2026, and I don't see anything strange in asking for a non-alcoholic beer so I can enjoy my pizza and then drive sober. I settled for water.

Excellent beers, and good pizzas, made with carefully selected ingredients. But there are definitely some things that need revising. First: the wait. Perhaps twenty-five minutes from sitting down to the waiter taking your order (called specifically, not spontaneously) is a bit long on a Monday evening with the dining room almost empty. It must be said that consulting the menu (which is online, and—the detail—no one told us this) takes time: each ingredient has its origin and description specified, so each pizza on the menu is a few lines long, and it feels like reading the plot of an opera; once you get to the last line, you have to reread it. Of course, the intent is to acknowledge and highlight local producers. There's also, however, a hint of pomposity. As for the beers: I think it's the only pizzeria where I've ever found a medium-sized draft beer. Either 30/33cl, or even a 75cl bottle, and not the classic "pizza" size, i.e., the medium 40 or 50cl. This is a bit off-putting, especially considering the long wait for food: you're essentially forced to get a second beer or finish your pizza dry. Another thing: the ingredients, or dishes, are unavailable. This would also be a good sign, considering they're local and high-quality, but within certain limits. For example: if the arugula is out of stock, that's fine. If, on the other hand, you can't order any dessert (!) because "we've run out of everything," at a late hour on a very sparsely crowded evening, that's not the case. The experience is therefore ambivalent: while you might praise the quality of the products and the location, you don't feel welcomed, you don't feel completely at ease.

Excellent beer and really good pizzas, both classic and more "imaginative"

At Pizzeria Levante, you can eat good pizza and drink excellent beer. I consider Levante's pizza to be among the best in Cagliari, with Arborea fior di latte mozzarella and excellent, refined island ingredients such as cured meats, cheeses, and more. The dough is excellent, light, neither thick nor thin. Their craft beer, Rubiu, is truly top-notch; try the Moresca. The place is a bit small and doesn't hold many customers, so they manage to offer excellent service. Prices are a bit high, but you'll leave satisfied.

We wandered in by chance, and I think we'll be back and give them a lot of positive publicity. Delicious pizza (top-notch dough) and good beers. Prices are reasonable. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Good pizza with alternative dough and quality ingredients

We had vegan and vegetarian pizza. It’s crunchy crust very delicious. They have 4 vegan options!!!

Two takeout pizzas, €39. The giant option costs €5. I couldn't find this price on the online menu. The pizzas were €2 more expensive than the online menu, perhaps because they were takeout, which wasn't marked. The service was unpleasant, with a half-hour wait at a time they set. The pizzas were very good!

It sounds like something from a cheap commercial, but it was truly the best pizza I've ever eaten. The Pizza Desulo is definitely worth recommending.
