Le due Querce In Zoagli

An excellent dinner in a truly enchanting location. I dined at this fantastic restaurant for my boyfriend's sixth anniversary. We had a great time, and the food was delicious. We ate with a view of Rapallo. If I were to return to Rapallo, I would almost certainly eat here again!

A particular menu in my taste, perhaps a little too tasty

Let me start by saying, "Fantastic Location." As a Ligurian, I can say my heart sank as I looked out from the terrace where the dining room is located. Let's move on to the menu. Good selection, with some tantalizing "off-menu" options. Personally, I ordered: Appetizer Mussels Parmigiana, I think the best I've tasted so far, generously seasoned and perfectly gratinated. The portion was also excellent, leaving no regret that "it would have been better if there had been more." Main course Fried calamari and prawns, dry, crispy, and well-salted. Again, a decent portion with a good mix of varieties. Personally, I would have liked a few more prawns, but again, that's purely subjective. Dessert Chocolate Caprese with salted caramel glaze, absolutely excellent, served slightly warm, highlighting the cocoa flavor, which was contrasted by the saltiness of the caramel with a subtle yet decisive presence. I also tried the octopus with potatoes, which was very good. I think its simplicity makes it a difficult dish to present because the ingredients are few and the raw materials must be of high quality. The grilled fish was a good variety, cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, we weren't able to linger too long because the small children were starting to get tired. We'll definitely be back...

Dinner, unfortunately, didn't start out very well. We asked for two glasses of Sauvignon and the waiter showed up with an open bottle, larger than usual, and poured the dregs of it for us. We pointed out that it was sour, and he brought us a second bottle, which was decidedly better. We continued with an appetizer, which we shared, and I won't comment on that because I'm speechless (though I'll leave you with the photo below). Fortunately, the main courses were fine. My husband finished the dinner with dessert, while I drank my still water (served in a nondescript bottle that we ended up paying a whopping €2). Total: €98, for mediocre food and equally good service. The view was undoubtedly beautiful, but only if you're lucky enough to dine in the front row. Not to be repeated.

The location isn't the most convenient, but the exceptional view makes all the effort worthwhile. The terrace offers a stunning view of Rapallo and the Portofino promontory. The seafood is good and the menu interesting. The bill is a bit pricey but fair. Overall, a very nice place.

For a romantic evening or a night in good company with a breathtaking view of Rapallo, you must visit Le Due Querce restaurant in Zoagli. The restaurant is reached by crossing the courtyard of a beautiful and evocative church. Descending the entrance stairs, you find yourself outside, which transforms into a terrace in the summer. The atmosphere is elegant but not overbearing. The menu features mostly traditional Ligurian seafood dishes, including a few vegetarian options. The wine list is adequate and caters to all tastes. The dishes we ordered were all delicious, with portions almost generous. The service deserves special mention: professional and efficient. Finally, the bill, another pleasant surprise, was reasonably priced for what we received. One star less for the food, because at least one vegetarian option among the appetizer, first course, and second course is now a must in restaurants like this. Highly recommended, with almost full marks.

Il ristorante gode di una vista aperta su tutto il golfo che lascia davvero a bocca aperta. Posto molto romantico e consigliato per delle occasioni speciali. Menu ligure ma non solo. Servizio semplice ma attento e tutto sommato veloce. Antipasto misto di pesce (25€) davvero misero e per nulla particolare. Primo piatto con scampo e radicchio, buono, troppo salato. Grigliata di pesce buona ma anche lì prezzo elevato. Dolci buoni. Per un pasto completo si spendono circa 100€ a testa. Mi è piaciuto il contesto, la vista, il cibo a tratti. Non ci tornerei.
