I often return to this quaint restaurant, and the welcome always sets the tone for the evening ahead. The tagliatelle with wild boar and the wild boar are truly the best you'll find for miles around. Bravo!

I WILL BE BACK!!!! 100% authentic Tuscan food. Clean and welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Generous and delicious portions. You walk in and feel like you're in the same old-fashioned restaurant, and you leave with the same belly full of deliciousness... it may not be Michelin-starred, but as they say around here... we don't care...

Very good, traditional Tuscan food, excellent service, very friendly, also recommended for children. The dessert makes it perfect; we immediately reserved another table, and reservations are recommended. The kids loved the chicken with homemade fries, a large portion. Also recommended are the ravioli with minced meat sauce and the wild boar with polenta.

Returning here after many years, "Le Cave" restaurant lives up to its reputation: excellent cuisine, portions ranging from generous to enormous. To quote the gruff but friendly owner, "if you're looking for nouvelle cuisine, you're in the wrong place." The legendary tortelli are unmissable! 😋

If you like a rustic place with authentic food, then this is the place for you.
Well-executed dishes, homemade wine, and very friendly staff.
I absolutely recommend the beef peposo.
It's our second time here, and it definitely won't be our last.

The ideal place to rediscover authentic Tuscan flavors. The hilltop location in San Carlo, in a farmhouse in the middle of the village, provides a welcome break from the bustle of the coast. The all-female kitchen and dining room staff create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The local cured meats and crostini are delicious, and the pappardelle with wild boar is excellent, as are the Maremma ravioli. The wild boar stew is a good dish, although I prefer it thinner, but it's a matter of taste. I've also seen some lovely fried fish and chicken, but that's all I can say. The prices are fair, and the portions are more than adequate.
I must say I was a little biased due to some negative reviews, but I had to change my mind. Bravo!
