Le Arcate In Anacapri

A very good choice among so many restaurants in Anacapri. It was recommended by the owner of my accommodation; apparently, it's one of the best on the island. I see almost only Italians there. Diego, who helped me with the selection, is super friendly and kind. Definitely worth a visit.

It's basically a good pizzeria, but you can also order other dishes. The place is pleasant, but unfortunately, it's impossible to chat because of the terrible noise, caused by poor soundproofing. The staff is friendly, but due to the large number of customers, there's sometimes a bit of confusion in correctly distributing orders.

I generally like to give the benefit of the doubt. Some other guests seemed quite happy. However, I wasn't comfortable in this restaurant & didnt really feel welcome. You were a product. A necessity to get in, put some food in front of & get out as quickly as possible. It should be an experience thats part of the visit to Capri. Like many of the other reviews, we were recommended the restaurant by our guide & thought it a safe bet. I would say what looked like the owner, gave a little rushed conversation when taking the order. Then the wrong wine was poured in a rushed fashion (A Chardonnay instead of the Pino Grigio. We noticed late as he walked away but we didnt mention it). A waiter in a different part of the restaurant (younger, bald with a beard) looked very friendly and was happy, chatting & laughing with diners thoughout our stay. But the waitress we had was cold & unfriendly. She also cleared the plates rapidly and individually, as soon as each of us had bearly put our cutlery down. Like a plate assassin. A plate clearing ninja. My wife loved her meal (Trancio di Salmone - Salmon with purèed potato plus a side of Broccoli). The children liked their pizzas (had better in Meta). My sliced chicken was plain, dry & over done (but better than underdone!) Overall, I think your welcome may be determined by their mood on the day, or your nationality, who knows? I tried to speak italian but its not great & they understandably steam rollered over that with English. No doubt to reduce errors & get us out as quickly as possible. I get that a restaurant gets busy & they have a business to run but we've had a lot friendlier service during our holiday. The welcome & interaction is important to the experience. I hope your experience is the 5 stars of some other ratings.

Our Favorite Place on the Island... The staff and two owners are extremely nice and go out of their way to help you. Their prices are also very reasonable.

It's been a while since I last visited Anacapri. This restaurant was recommended by my hotel. They said they open at 6:45 PM, but a pre-opening meeting took longer than expected, so we ended up arriving at 7 PM. There were other customers waiting, but they politely apologized. The Caprese salad and Margherita were both delicious. They showed me the seafood they caught that day, and then they made a dish with lobster and sea bass. The pasta is fresh, so the texture may vary, but I liked it. The sea bass was good, but I prefer a stronger flavor. It was refreshing and delicious. I think this is a very solid restaurant. Prices are average, except for the specials. The lobster was 80€, and the sea bass dish was 120€. I'd definitely like to visit again.

Nice dinner during this vacation in Italy. We all love hamdsome Diego Antonio and Gianluca.

A couple's dinner on an August evening, recommended by the hotel where we were staying. The restaurant is very well-kept and has a fresh atmosphere. We ordered two starters, including the typical Capri dish, and both were very tasty and were very happy to eat. The wine selection and desserts were excellent, and the complimentary limoncino (limoncello) was appreciated. A wonderful dinner at a fair price!

A very pleasant experience, excellent raw materials, impeccable service thanks to Diego and Antonio, superb chef, very welcoming location. Absolutely worth trying. You won't be disappointed.

Both the service and the pizza were excellent.
