02/07/2025: Exquisite food, really good, there were four of us and it was a real experience for those who love raw fish, it's excellent!
30/06/2025: A wonderful surprise in Cala Gonone!
I stumbled upon the 4 Mori restaurant by chance and it was one of the best gastronomic experiences of the trip.
I ordered three starters:
• Ceviche of the fish of the day, with smoked coconut leche de tigre, yuzu, ginger, grilled corn and mango. This dish took me straight to Thailand! The mix of flavour and freshness was simply perfect.
• Braised beef tongue with Cannonau, egg and chive cream, citrus confit, cherry tomatoes and sea fennel. This is the second time I have eaten beef tongue and this version was delicious. Without the usual strong flavour, very well cooked, and the sauce was so good that I had to go to the bread basket!
• Sautéed mussels with Vermentino. The sauce was very tasty and the mussels were cooked just right, with great texture.
For the main course, I ordered the lamb with foie gras and truffle. It was also very good — intense flavor and well presented — but, in my personal taste, the meat could have been cooked a little more.
The dessert was a spectacle in itself: Chocolate mousse, cassis and lime, licorice caramel, lemon curd, soft almond and lemon biscuit. A sweet, fresh and sophisticated finish.
Summary: I loved it so much that I asked who the Chef was. When food leaves an impression on us, it is impossible not to want to know who is behind it.
