It's well known that bread in Calabria is rarely "good." Well, this bakery in Davoli Marina is run by a Milanese woman who, despite her origins, makes bread that, in some cases, leaves you wanting more. The many takeaway dishes, some typical of Calabria, are also delicious.

The shop is small but clean and well-kept. Strangely, we didn't find pizzas and focaccias as the sign suggests, but various types of bread and many ready-made hot meals. The quality is good, but the many fried options—meatballs, arancini, croquettes, donuts with and without anchovies—are affected by the frying oil and are difficult to digest. Oven-baked dishes are better.

The best bakery - and prepared meals in Davoli - everything is a real treat, I love it 🤪🤪 The brioches are to die for - the muffins are heavenly - the rice salads are exquisite - I highly recommend stopping by - the saleswoman is very, very kind and smiling 👍🏼🌺 the price is right
