02/01/2025: Out of passion I have been "testing" panettone for years and looking for the perfect one. After the great disappointments of the now inedible Milanese historians (Marchesi in the lead) I had found Motta in Monza which on a scale from 1 to 10 had reached 8.5, but it closed and so this year I reached Zoia, a legend and I was not disappointed. Panettone as it should be made with perfect alveolation, real candied fruit and just enough raisins. It feels like the right butter and the right eggs. No alcohol of any kind and top cooking. So best panettone 2024 with a rating of 8. Why not 10? Dear Zoia, everything is perfect but you shouldn't smell the vanilla. Putting it on to bind the flavors was ok, but I felt it a little more which distracted me from the other main flavours. Anyway, thanks again this year you saved Christmas!!
