Hoog op de berg van Porto San Maurizio vinden we het bescheiden ristorante pizzeria L’Armuen in de Via San Leonardo 14, de straat die aan de overkant van de gevels een volledige met groen begroeide muur heeft.
Het was er vrij druk, terras helemaal vol en ook binnen was er behoorlijk wat volk.
Een echte hout pizza-oven bediend door een hardwerkende pizzaiolo.
Hier zeker zo veel locals als toeristen die het ook konden vinden in hun buurtrestaurantje.
Niet al te veel poespas, gewoon een lekkere Pasta Puttanesca en een Pizza Prosciutto en een heerlijke Pigato Superiore.
Dit alles voor een mooi prijsje maar daarom zeker niet minder lekker.

Here, the chef cooks not for the masses, but with unusual and refined dishes. A small but fine selection is served, offering a taste of the true diversity of Italian cuisine – and that's much more than "just" pizza, which, by the way, is also delicious here. The unpretentious restaurant (vaulted ceiling), its food, and the people are still an insider's delight, even though it's been around for a long time. Friendly, attentive service. My top recommendation for anyone who knows that the simple can be very complex.
Had a kind of vegetable gratin with asparagus. Accompanied by a simple local wine. L'Armuen is located upstairs and somewhat hidden in the old part of Porto Maurizio. I love it!

It was by chance and on the enthusiastic advice of a couple we met outside the restaurant that we opened the door... And what a great idea!
This small family restaurant "only" serves pizzas, focaccia, and a few salads, but everything is made with love, and it shows. We really fell in love with the Bufalina pizza, delicious and generous.
The welcome is provided by a small, energetic lady with an infectious smile, which gives the place an almost domestic atmosphere, as if you were eating at someone's home. The desserts are top-notch: an excellent chocolate cake and a deliciously melt-in-the-mouth pistachio tiramisu.
A word of advice: during peak season, be sure to make a reservation, as even in May the restaurant was already full!

A small corner of authenticity in the heart of Parasio, L’Armüen is a simple but authentic restaurant, where Mara and Andrea welcome each customer with warmth and passion for good food.
Here you eat really well: the farinata is the best in all of Imperia, crunchy and fragrant, made as it once was. But it doesn’t end there: in addition to the excellent pizzas, thin and well-stuffed, the restaurant also offers fresh fish dishes and Ligurian specialties, prepared with seasonal ingredients, many of which come straight from the garden.
The menu changes every day, based on availability and the inspiration of the kitchen, so it’s always a good idea to ask what’s cooking when you book!
A family atmosphere, honest prices and sincere flavors: L’Armüen is one of those places that make you want to come back. A nice mix of tradition, simplicity and quality.

Absolutely amazing, completely authentic Italian pizza experience. Everything is done from scratch in the restaurant from making the dough to delivering amazing seasonal pizzas with a smile. It’s a very small place operated by three people so prepared to wait. it will be worth it. Absolutely top notch.
