We had the pleasure of visiting them twice during the weekend, both the carbonara and the exquisite pizza, good atmosphere, affordable prices, very fast and the waiters were friendly and attentive. We would definitely come again if we return to Rome.

It's right behind the pantheon, we came across it when the weather was rainy. Drinks and a pizza plate were 10€ during happy hour, there were anchovies in the pizza but it was nice, I liked it, the atmosphere is like an Italian restaurant, it's very nice when the lights are on.

The food is very tasty We served both pizza and pasta or beef steak. Cocktails were also drunk, which were very good. The service was quick. The experience I had contradicts the 1-2 star reviews that dominate the landscape. We were a group of 6 adults and children and everyone was satisfied. The pizza was very filling due to the thick crust. Fresh and tasty ingredients. Minus point: the toilet

Delicious food, everything was delicious and excellent service. Nice atmospheric place to sit. The only downside is that we had to ask for dessert once we had eaten, we kind of forgot about it.

Cannot understand all the negative reviews...honestly had a great dinner here! Ok not the cheapest in Rome, and I perhaps not the most amazing food but it was very good.

What attracted me was the atmosphere of this warm restaurant with this street and its lights, not disappointed with the food, best pizza and tiramisu to die for, but it is true that the service is not up to par. it's long and no smile.

01/02/2025: Great food and the Egyptian waiter who worked the restaurant was very friendly. The food was delicious, but a bit expensive. Great gnocci, ravioli and meatballs (with a hint of spice). Go the pastas. Liked the layout and ambience of the music and paintings. Had a great night, wrapped up with a nice tiramisu birthday cake and complimentary limoncello.
21/01/2025: Un poco fuera de los caminos trillados era un lugar encantador para comer y beber. Eduardo el camarero fue atento, amable y recomendó vinos encantadores. Gran valor también. Fuimos dos veces en 4 días.

22/12/2024: An extraordinary experience! The food was delicious, prepared with fresh, high quality ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and perfect for a special evening. The staff was very kind and attentive, always ready to satisfy every request. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy an exceptional meal. We will definitely be back!
08/12/2024: Every customer has a different experience, and as I could see on the reviews, some people got bad experiences and others got good ones. My time at this restaurant was a very pleasant moment. To start, I ordered an aranciata and a bottle of mineral water - I was thirsty after walk like a crazy tourist throughout Rome. Then I asked for an Insalata Caprese that came so fresh, with two big pieces of burrata. After I ate the best Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe of my life. To finish, I asked for a dessert - I ate a delicious small cake made with cream and Nutella, but I can't remember the exactly name of it. Last but not least, this is an 100% authentic Italian restaurant. It has a long tradition. I could notice that they had to adapt themselves to the new reality of the city: a lot of tourists that wish to have lunch at a legitimate Italian restaurant but can't do it until 2 pm. Plus, they hired immigrants, which for me is great! This is an alert because some people are being so silly and calling La Fontanella as a non legit Italian restaurant, a scam - and they definitely are not.
