The pizzas are excellent!
The little alley is a bit off the beaten track, which is great!
The service is good before the meal, but once you've finished, you're completely ignored.
Our empty plates waited 30 minutes to be cleared while the servers walked by and looked at them…
We had to ask for the dessert menu, otherwise no one would have come.
It's a shame because it spoils the rest of the service and the food.

Good food, great location and atmosphere. Due to the crowds, you may sometimes have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. A restaurant with a tradition of over 30 years. Don't believe the bad reviews. The competition pays for that.

I don't understand how it has such a low rating: we ate really well, the service was friendly and you're right in the centre of Rome, it might be a little expensive but considering the area it's totally understandable.

Excellent restaurant!
With a Dalmatian manager!
I found a great variety of high-quality food, and quite generous portions!
The location is definitely the best thing, being right in the heart of Rome!
And the service is fast and very professional!
The atmosphere is traditional, and trust me, there's nothing better than a caccio e peppe or carbonara paired with a good wine at Arcano!

My review of a very pleasant experience, in 2014 and repeated in 2017, was: "Excellent traditional Roman cuisine, a stone's throw from the Pantheon, a suggestive setting and good value for money. Absolutely recommended! :-)".
After a recent experience in the past few weeks I have to lower my rating a lot, both on the quality of the food - average - but above all in relation to the exhausting waiting times.
