This was a special experience. Every dish we ordered came and surprised us. The explanations on how the food was made, where the ingredients came from was really interesting. Delicious and friendly.
Also one of the most clear wine explanations we have ever experienced.
A restaurant that delivers the passion of the people running it. Thanks

We loved this place. Perfect natural wine and small dish recommendations, all set with a chill late evening atmosphere (nice vinyl collection).

This place was the best discovery of our trip to Rome. We were recommended by a Roman friend who knows a lot about wine and food, and he was right. L'Antidoto is a natural wine bar with signature dishes that seem like they came from a Michelin-starred kitchen, but with the relaxed and spontaneous atmosphere of a neighborhood bar.
We tried several things to share: a burrata with figs and basil oil that I still remember, a meat tartare with a Parmesan crisp, and a pasta dish with bottarga that was insane. All accompanied by natural wines that were presented to us with care and kindness.
The place is small, almost all bar or high tables, so you have to arrive early or make a reservation. It's perfect if you really like wine and don't mind trying new things. Very authentic and very different from the typical Roman dishes. I would definitely go back.

Excellent, absolutely excellent. From the unusually delicious flavor of the dishes, to the wine, the music, and the kindness of the staff. Out of the ordinary in a neighborhood where carbonara amatriciana and pizza are terrible.

Vibrant, unique and bursting with flavor. The natural wines are a great addition. Great service and recommendations, the food was so good that I forgot to take pictures of all the dishes.

Special, spicy and shared.
Small place (must be booked in advance) where you eat and have fun drinking well-recommended natural wines alongside a series of delicious and beautiful dishes to look at. The chef studies and it shows! The tuna and mussels are delicious. Well done!

What a treat! This place must be on everyone’s must visit list if you love food and wine. Reading through the high praised reviews, this was on my list of places I had to visit. Before visiting, I wasn’t sure if it was more geared towards eating or drinking but soon realized that it is for both. The inside is simple and very sexy, with dark lighting and simple table lamps. Then the menu is brought - on this visit there was a guest forager and the menu was based on the seasonal products picked locally. Everything sounded interesting and we were sad that we only had limited stomach space. As soon as we ordered the food, the staff also came up with a few options for wines. Given we are not familiar with Italian wines or natural wines, the gentle man gave a through but easy to understand descriptions of each wine and found a nice wine to start with. There came the starters, the pickled vegetables with different marinade - some were sour, spicy, bitter, sweet and beautiful combinations to kick start the dinner. Then there was the beautiful local vegetables and herbs with aioli. The aioli was soooooo silky, rich and flavorful, we had to ask for bread, and the chef came out and gave us a big spoon of the aioli and we were in heaven. On with the marinated fish - perfectly cooked, the more you chew, the flavour just oozes out of the dish and the balance of the delicate herbs and citrus was perfect. We then went onto try a more adventurous wine option again recommended by the staff. This was also a wonderful accompaniment to the dishes we were having. The remaining dishes were steak tartar, mushroom with squid (which was my favourite dish) and lamb skewers. Every single dish was so flavorful and made me smile every time I put a mouthful. This is a local gem and such a wonderful wine bar. They only sell wines by the bottle but it makes sense because you’d want to stay here for the whole bottle. The service was so warm and caring, from the floor staff to the chefs who were able to explain dishes and wines in English which was also a great help. It will be on my must visit in Rome even if you must take a taxi to get there. Thank you so much!

Special place in the heart of Trastevere, I absolutely recommend getting the mussels.
The only downside, being very small, if you book at 6:30 pm, the table will be taken away at 8:30 pm.
