L'antica Osteria dei Mercanti In Ferriere

Excellent boneless, fat-free rib-eye steak, cooked rare. My wife had a generous roast beef, all served with a side of fries and grilled vegetables, two desserts, coffee, 2 liters of water, and 1/4 cup of sparkling white wine. All for €57. Excellent for me.

I found the Osteria by chance, while I was out on my motorcycle, when I saw someone coming out and noticed a rustic feel. I wasn't wrong; the stone restaurant is very homely. The gnocco fritto and mushroom risotto made for a truly wonderful lunch. The gnocco is made according to Emilian art. Oh, and don't forget to pick up the excellent honey and a can of Galup, which are fabulous and you'll be amazed by their deliciousness.

I have passed by Ferriere many times on my motorbike, but today I stopped at this Osteria, which seems almost closed from the outside. Upon entering, I found to my immense amazement a magnificent and old-time place, made of stone, wood and kindness. I ate very well! gnocchi with gorgonzola and a roast beef dish, perhaps one of the best I have ever tasted. If you are passing through, stop here and if you are not, go there on purpose, you will not be disappointed.
