L'Aja Noa In Guagnano

Let's say the food is acceptable. Only the waiter seemed to be in a hurry, he took our plates away before we even finished. I have never had the plate in front of me taken away even with the dish still to be finished...

Place located at the entrance to the town of Guagnano, if you come from the state road that connects it with the town of San Pancrazio Salentino. In front of the restaurant there are car parks with white lines on the sides of the road and also a dedicated car park. The restaurant features wooden furnishings that give a warm and familiar atmosphere. The staff is really kind. The dishes are of excellent quality, especially those from the land which recall the origins of the place. Prices fluctuate between 25 and 30 Euros. We recommend the second courses, which are very tasty, and the desserts.

Se vi trovate a transitare sulla statale 7 ter che congiunge Lecce con Taranto, attraverserete un bel paese :GUAGNANO e la strada ha nome" La-ia-noa", forma dialettale per"la via nuova". Sarebbe un vero peccato non fare un salto per pranzo, o cena a gustare le specialtà del ristorante che ne ha preso il nome: L'Aja Noa. Vivo in Toscana da piu'di 60 anni e sono salentino,ma spesso, ritorno a Guagnano per 4/5 giorni, in autunno con il gran piacere di cenare in compagnia presso l'AJA Noa. L'ambiente è gradevole e accogliente, il personale gentile e attento, buon consigliere sulla scelta dei piatti di mare e di terra di cui il luogo è fornito, dagli antipasti, sempre freschi , che sembrano quadri d'autore, ai primi e ai secondi,che sono un piacere per il gusto e per gli occhi. Personalmente suggerisco un antico piatto salentino che ritenevo ormai scomparso : "CICIRI eTRIA", indimenticabile, anche se è il nome dialettale che indica il più noto "Pasta e ceci" . Una magia di sapori indimenticabile.

Il locale si presenta con un’atmosfera molto calda e accogliente; il personale è gentile e simpatico e il servizio molto celere. Il cibo è ottimo! Abbiamo preso una pinsa ciascuno ed erano tutte molto gustose e croccanti, se ci penso mi viene l’acquolina! La pinsa è disponibile anche nella versione senza glutine e su richiesta anche le patatine fritte e altri prodotti. Che dire? Ci tornerei ogni giorno!

On Saturday 20 April we decide to have dinner at L'Aja Noa. We were 4 people. In truth, we had been meaning to go to this refreshment point for months. In short, the right opportunity finally arose and we seized it. We ordered various appetizers, first courses, wine and dessert. I would love to talk about every single dish, because they all deserve to be praised (even the house wine), but I'll just say that we had an incredibly good time. Everything went right. Honest bill and truly delicious service. I conclude by saying that we will return without any doubt, especially because the hosts turned out to be extremely friendly and nice people. Long live The Hague Noa.
